Okay we all know that Smurfette is made from Gargamel's evil spell. Sassette was too made, she was created from the same lump of magic clay.
Bringing this to metaphysical basis, what is the significance of women smurf being created from the earth and men smurf natural?

That Smurfs are asexual and don't actually reproduce. It would mean that female Smurfs don't actually exist naturally, but can assimilate into a normal Smurf society. One thing that isn't really explained is how Nanny Smurf actually came about. I doubt that she was also created by some magic clay, so that leaves open the fact that female Smurfs may actually exist naturally. In fact, Nanny Smurf may have been away recovering or vacationing from giving birth to a hundred or so Smurfs. Nanny Smurf could throw all Smurf reproduction theories into another direction. She may be the mother of all Smurfs.

Wasn't Nanny Smurf gone for the same period of time that Grandpa Smurf was gone for? She would only have been around long enough to produce Papa Smurf's generation of Smurfs (granted that there was even more than just Papa Smurf), but NOT long enough to produce the generation of Smurfs that includes Brainy, Hefty, Handy, et al.

But...this can mean that composed of blue clay the smurfette and sassette can never be real smurfs. Storks bring real smurfs. Does this not say women are less real than men? Does this not mean the same as made from a rib of Adam?

To smurf alone: Holy Scripture also says God made man out of dust, breathing life into his nostrils and making him a living being.
