Was there ever an episode where the Smurfs capture Gargamel and tied him down in the style of 'Gulliver's travels'?
Keep seeing a screenshot of it on Google, but no info on where it came from.

Here's the list of my favourite episodes from the show, including some of the episodes that I have really enjoyed the most:
1. Handy's Sweetheart (A Smurf and a mermaid = How romantic)

7. Like it or smurf it (Even though the game that similar to Truth or Dare was fun, I personally thought the story in fact was OK)

12. Once in a Blue Moon (I thought the story was absolutely beautiful, but quite teary like how Rabbit takes care of a little blue bird)

I forgot about Once in a Blue Moon, and my second- favourite episode, the Dark- Ness Monster! It looks like you like it too, Rowena. I think it's just the sweetist! I love that Brainy realises how great a friend Clumsy is. It includes my favourite quotation of Brainy Smurf: 'It is easy to admit we are strong... it's much harder to admit we are weak. i like all of the shows but my favorite would have to be bewitched bebothered and besmurfed i think thats the right name and greedy turns into a fiddle grouchy is happy and jokey is big and doesnt give suprises i find it funny really funny and sorry if thats the wrong title

I love that episode! Particularly when Grouchy keeps saying 'Waka Waka Waka!' There's a lot of debate about whether it's called 'Bewitched, Bothered, and Besmurfed', or 'Bewitched Bebothered and Besmurfed.

So many wonderful episodes... but here are my 5 definite favorites.
"The Hundredth Smurf"
"A Loss of Smurf"
"A Maze of Mirrors"
"The Mr. Smurf Contest"
"Smurfette's Rose"
1. Based on a comic book story, this is a quality episode, and essential viewing as part of the Smurfs canon. It has a gentle pace, a grand plot about the village's well-being, a milestone, and lots of gags to keep you laughing. Vanity has broken two mirrors in one day, due to bad luck, so he must forge an indestructible mirror of pure silver. The sounds of his hammering and polishing annoy the village, so he must work in the forest. A thunderstorm brews, and lightening strikes his mirror, giving birth to a doppelganger. It's very funny to think that Vanity has a clone of himself living in the village.

2. A melodramatic episode. Vanity calls an emergency assembly to show off his new hat. When the others kick him out, tired of his frivolous priorities, he is convinced he is ugly and they do not love him anymore. He runs away to the Reflection Pool, (which we saw in "Love Those Smurfs".) Vanity meets a very handsome young elf named Lofty. Lofty is conceited and conniving, convincing Vanity to give up his mirror, and sabotages him with rigged beauty advice. Taking his directions and advice in exchange for the mirror, he takes a bath in Creepy Deepy Swamp, changing him into a Wartmonger. He returns home, and is treated like a leper. The smurflings comfort him, but Vanity soon finds that they have been laughing behind his back.
The second act of the episode is very bizarre. Vanity runs away to the land of the Wartmongers, where he feels they will accept him. He calls himself 'Vanribbity' and makes up a phony life story. Sadly, more exploitation and trickery is in order, as King Bullrush sets up Vanity to be sacrificed to dismantle the Creepadile's curse. Vanity is flattered to be King, and thinks he has found the attention and love he deserves. Gladly those backstabbing smurflings are there to rescue him. Papa Smurf gives Vanity the remedy, and he is beautiful once more. They return to the village.
However, it is shown that Vanity learned nothing in the end. There is no moral, or the morals were in the middle of the episode. The camera closes in on le Schtroumpf Coquet's face, and he smiles at us coquettishly.
This episode is my favorite shaggy dog story. It has plenty of sad moments, and Vanity cries 4 times. There are plenty of funny lines also, though the part where the smurflings are tricking Brainy is tiresome. This episode is very long, just like this post. But there are some unfortunate implications. It's like nobody really likes Vanity, except himself.

3. A pretty-much-perfect episode.

4. An all-around hilarious episode, about a pageant.
I love pageants, and I love pageant episodes.
Papa Smurf is hosting the Smurfy Grande Ball to celebrate a harvest. Since the smurfs all want to take Smurfette, Sassette devises a formalized system for the smurfs to woo her, onstage in a men's pageant. There, they will exercise their handsomeness, talents, and answer the secret question in order to win Smurfette's heart.
However, Gargamel disguises himself as a smurf, finds out about the competition, and infiltrates it as one of the contestants. But when the spell wears off, he is smurf sized, and Azrael finds him and chases him. In the end, everybody wins, because Smurfette loves everybody. Little Sassette was envious of her ballgown, so Papa Smurf commissioned on for her, and takes her hand at the ball.
This episode is full of funny and lovely moments, especially the talent show portion. Grouchy: The Smurf of 1000 Faces! And Gargamel's impression of Gargamel.
But my favorite part of all is a scene backstage. Where Hefty is toweling off, and Vanity seems quite delighted. This is a very naughty scene, but it is unquestionably my favorite.

5. A dramatic and heart-wrenching episode about promises that need to be broken, starring everyone's favorite gardener.
Smurfette wishes, more than anything, for a blue rose to exist in nature.
She asks every smurf about the possibility of a blue rose, and they all say it does not. Smurfette goes to Mother Nature, wishing for a blue rose. She grants it, but on a condition. The white rose must take its color from something blue, and if it dies on the stem, it will remain blue forever. Smurfette thanks Mother Nature, and goes to her favorite white rose to chant the incantation she has given her.
This is a beautiful fairy tale. The dialogue is poetic and sophisticated, and the close-ups of the roses are gorgeous.
