Soccer Smurfs
Edeka is a popular German supermarket located all over Europe. In 2012, a Smurf promotion took place in the Edeka markets during the run-up to the European Championship.
A collection of 16 Soccer Smurf figures were available to customers. Collect points by shopping at the store to receive a free Smurf figure! A display and special bag was also on offer.
Each country had its own set of Soccer Smurfs figures - with their country's team colors!

EDEKA SOCCER SMURFS ACCESSORIES
There is a great stadium display for all of the Soccer Smurf Figures - a soccer field (also known as a football pitch). Gargamel hides behind the bushes and the 2012 champion cup is featured in the center. The fold-up stadium is perfect for displaying the Smurfs and is essential for every collector!
And then when the Smurfs have a break from training, simply store them in the collector's bag!
The drawstring Smurf Bag or "Schlumpf-Sammelsäckchen" sold for € 1,50. The Smurf Album / Display or "Schlumpf-Sammelalbum" sold for € 2,50. |
SPECIAL AREA FOR EACH SMURF
The display has a special spot for each Smurf figure. The spots are numbered and correspond to the matching Smurf. Every Smurf plays an important role - from the players (goalkeeper, defenders, midfielders forwards and strikers) to the coach and the fans! For an example, look at pictures of the #12 Schiedsrichter (Referee), #11 Stürmer (Striker) and #07 Mittelfeld (Midfield). |

COLLECT POINTS TO GET FREE SMURFS
Here is how the Smurfs Promotion at Edeka works... Customers earn a point for every €10 of purchases at the Edeka supermarket. Points are then pasted on the "sammelpass" or free collection card. With four points on the card, customers recieve a free Soccer Smurf at the checkout!
Each Smurf figure comes is a sealed bag. You don't know which particular Smurf figure is inside until it is opened! The Edeka markets even organized special trading days. Collectors could meet and trade duplicate Smurfs to try and complete their collections. |
