The "J.B." in JB Smoove stands for his birth name, Jerry Brooks. JB is known for his unique smooth voice and distinct pattern of speech, which makes the delivery of almost any line sound funny. J.B. Smoove's breakout role came with his surly, motor-mouthed role as Leon Black in the HBO improvisational comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm". JB is also recognized from his role as Manny on Chris Rock's "Everybody Hates Chris". J.B.'s improvised dialog and mannerisms on Curb Your Enthusiasm mesh perfectly with the show's main character, Larry David, making JB a stand-out star in a very talented cast. In The Smurfs 2, J.B. voices the Naughty called Hackus, a wild looking creature that perfectly matches the sensibilities of JB Smooves' vocal abilities. Fans of JB's ruckus comedy and The Smurfs are in for a treat with Hackus! TRIVIA JB Smoove shortened his real name, Jerry Brooks, to "J.B." and added "Smoove" as his last name when he began performing stand-up comedy. JB is an aspiring hip hop dancer turned comedian.
