Brainy brings out a book which caused the ghosts to stop and stare at it.
Brainy: (to ghosts) Who wants to read Quotations of Brainy Smurf with me?
The ghosts, for some strange reason, gathered around and listened to Brainy read his Quotations of Brainy Smurf books.
Brainy: (started reading) Quotations of Brainy Smurf, Volume 1...
Hefty: Well, it wasn't exactly what I had in mind.
Smurfette: Oh, dear. I hope Brainy knows what he's doing.

Jokey: I'm blocking out the sound of Brainy reading to the ghosts.
Hefty: Well, I prefer to put a stop to it!
Hefty is about to toss Brainy away, but Smurfette grabbed him by the wrist before he could.
Smurfette: Hefty, don't you dare! Just let Brainy do his thing.

Brainy (to the ghosts after finishing a quotation): Would you like me to smurf another?
Ghosts (enthusiastically): Yes, yes! Please read us more, we're enjoying this very much!
Jokey (facepalming): Brainy's quotations books being appreciated?? I've never imagined I'd live enough to smurfsee something like that!
Hefty: Hush, Jokey! We must recognize Brainy is smurfing quite a job entertaining those ghosts. Be patient, for I'm almost reaching the keys!

Brainy (whispering to Hefty): It’s our cue to smurf out of here. Let's go!
Hefty (smiling): You don't have to tell me twice, Brainy!
(The Smurfs leave the castle in a great hurry, leaving the ghosts totally absorbed in Brainy's book.
