Lazy: I'm so happy to hear that... (YAAAAAWWWWWWNN) Well, if you don't mind, I'm gonna smurf a little nap right now...
Handy (sighing): And here we go again.
Hefty: Yep, and besides I need him to help me smurf more wood!
(Hearing them, Brainy approaches Papa Smurf.)
Brainy: Er... Papa Smurf, have you already finished your latest experiment in your lab?
Papa Smurf: Yes, Brainy: why are you asking?
Brainy: I'd like to smurf a look at it if you don't mind.
Papa Smurf (smiling and understanding Brainy's interest at once): OK, Brainy, let's smurf to my lab now. (They leave.)
Hefty (distrustful): Well then! What shall Brainy smurf up to no good now?
Handy: I don’t know either, but it doesn't mean it will be something harmful, Hefty. Let's just wait and see, alright?

(They see Brainy getting back holding a flask.)
Hefty: Hey, Brainy, what's it?
Brainy (smiling mysteriously): I won't tell.
Handy: And what shall you smurf this for?
Brainy (same): I won't tell.
Hefty: Oh, c'mon, Brainy, be good! I promise I won't smurf you out of the village next time you begin with your lectures.
Brainy (still smiling the same way): Papa Smurf always says that one mustn't promise what one can’t smurfulfill. And this means chiefly you, Hefty Smurf!
Handy: Awww, please, Brainy, be nice! We are pretty curious to see what you're going to smurf with this flask.
Brainy (same): Well, since you insist so much... OK, smurf along with me to Lazy's house and you'll understand everything!

Brainy: You'll know it soon, Hefty!
(Arriving there, Brainy knocks at Lazy's door.)
Lazy (waking up, drowsy): Huh?! Who's there?
Brainy: Please, Lazy, open up! That's me, Handy and Hefty!
Lazy (getting up unwillingly): (YAAAAAWWWWWWNN) Alright, Brainy, I'm coming!
(He opens the door) Very well. (Upset) What do you want, Brainy? You know very well that I don't like to be smurfed in the best of sleep!
Brainy: Yes, Lazy, but Papa Smurf sent me to smurf you this special vitamin!
Lazy (surprised): Vitamin!?! But why would I need a vitamin?
Hefty (now understanding Brainy): For you to smurf healthier, just that!
Handy (same): Yes, yes! Just drink it and you'll smurf even better!
Lazy (unimpressed): If I smurf it, will you three let me sleep in peace?
The three Smurfs (in chorus): Of course, of course!
Lazy (sighing): OK then. (He takes the flask and drinks all its content.)

(Papa Smurf's potion starts to work at once.)
Lazy: Hey, what ever smurfed to me now?! I feel so disposed and in the mood for work! (Turning to the others) Say, is there anything I can smurf to help you?
Hefty: I’m glad you asked me so, Lazy. I'd like you to help me smurf more wood to Papa's lab!
Lazy: OK, Hefty! Let's smurf it right now. (The two lead to the forest.)
Handy: After all, what was really that "vitamin" which Lazy smurfed, Brainy?
Brainy: A potion that Papa Smurf was smurfing much before Morphio caught him!

Brainy (smiling brightly): And I also can't believe you've just said this, but you're smurfy welcome. But I must be fair; so I say that's Papa Smurf whom you should thank.
Handy: Well, for a while he won't be as lazy as before .. at least.
Brainy: Very well put, Handy! I myself wouldn't smurf better.
(Both laugh.)

(So, from there and for a long time until the potion wore off, Lazy Smurf not only worked hard on the village usual chores but also offered to help the other Smurfs in their tasks.)
Smurfette: Thanks for helping me water my flowers, Lazy!
Handy: Very good job at watching my furnace now!
Brainy: I, Brainy Smurf, have no words enough to thank you for helping smurf my new books on the shelves, Lazy!
Greedy: Lazy, thanks to you my sarsaparilla pies didn't burn! You smurfed them out of the oven at the right time.

Greedy (whispering to Vanity): Uh-oh! The potion effect is over!
Vanity (same): Luckily he had already helped me polish my mirrors long before!
Lazy: Well, excuse me now... I think I'm gonna smurf to bed, 'cause I'm feeling somewhat tired... See you later, Smurfs! (He goes home.)
Hefty: You're right, Lazy. And once again, thanks a smurf!
Handy: Sleep well!
Smurfette: Have sweet dreams!
Vanity: Bye-bye!
Brainy (barely disguising his giggle): I wonder if Lazy learned his lesson, Papa Smurf?
Papa Smurf (smiling): Lazy? Honestly, I doubt, Brainy. Still, at least he smurfulfilled his obligations, although under the effect of my potion!
(Everysmurf giggles, agreeing with the Smurf leader. And once again joy reigns in the country of the Smurfs.)
