After dinner, they spent a few hours on their homework so that they could be prepared for the following day's lessons. Peter never thought that reading the Bible would now include having to study it for all its secrets and tidbits of knowledge that the casual reader wouldn't pick up on. Before study they prayed together to God that He would illuminate their minds through the working of the Holy Spirit to reveal things in Scripture that would be appropriate for them to know about. And just like that, they felt as if they were connecting with the mind of God, as if God was personally telling them what they needed to know. God's voice sounded gentle and yet commanding, like that of a father reading bedtime stories to his children at night.
By nine o'clock, it was time for bed. Peter, Wesley, and Ginger put away their books inside their bags and headed for their separate sleeping sections. But before they separated, Ginger asked, "Peter, are you going to be okay to sleep tonight?"
"I think so, Ginger, but my mind is still on Morgenstern and what he has done to my life as a child," Peter answered.
"Ask for one of the angels to come and recite the Psalms to you if you need help sleeping," Ginger recommended. "I'm sure they won't mind speaking the words you need to hear from God."
"Don't worry, Peter's in good hands with me, Ginger," Wesley said, putting his hand on Peter's shoulder for support. "You just have a good night's sleep."
"This has been a most wonderful day for all of us," Ginger said, smiling before she departed into the girls' section.
Peter and Wesley made their way to their beds. "I'll be blessed if I can sleep through the night with hardly a dream coming to my mind," Peter said.
"Unless it's a dream about you and Ginger," Wesley teased.
"Me and Ginger? What are you talking about?" Peter asked, sounding irritated.
"I know how you've been looking at Ginger, Peter," Wesley prodded. "She does look like a fine girl."
"Okay, so she's beautiful," Peter said. "That doesn't mean that I want to do anything else but just be with her."
"But you'll be the talk of the campus if word gets around like it does with couples around here," Wesley said. "I remember my brother Wilford getting hooked up with his girlfriend a few years before my being here at the school."
"You mean the school allows couples to be together like that?" Peter asked.
"Within reasonable limits, of course," Wesley answered. "They just can't do the things that God says you can do only in a marriage. Not that my parents don't enjoy those times together."
"I'm going to cut this conversation short and just get myself settled into sleep," Peter said as he and Wesley got settled into their beds. "Good night, Wesley."
"Good night to you too, lover boy!" Wesley said, laughing to himself as he and Peter fell asleep.

As he lay on his bed, Peter prayed: "O Lord God, the Father Almighty, I thank You for bringing me through this day. Please grant me and my fellow students the peace and serenity of sleep as I rest for the new day that may be given unto me. Help me through the power of the Holy Spirit to live how You want me to live, that I should repent of my sins and put my faith and trust in You solely for my salvation and for forgiveness of my sins. Please watch over my friends Wesley and Ginger and protect me from impure thoughts about girls that I'm not ready to act upon. Please watch over my Aunt Dottie, my Uncle Harry, and my cousin Donald and protect them from the influences of the world and the Devil on their lives. Please put a spirit of repentance in Malthorne and those who are like him so that they will reflect the holy character of Your only begotten Son. And please grant me the power to overcome my enemies if I need to fight against anyone who would use unholy arts against other people. In Your Son Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
Peter drifted off to sleep and had a peaceful few hours or rest, but then he had another dream. In that dream he was being harassed by Malthorne, Blaynes, and Murrayne as they taunted him for being a weak prophet. "Why don't you go home to your family of normals and live out the rest of your life as a normal?" Malthorne teased.
"Yeah, God only calls real prophets to His service, not pathetic ones like you!" Blaynes added.
"We're the ones that God's going to use in the end-times, so get lost!" Murrayne joined in.
This made Peter feel really upset. "I am a true prophet of God and I will show you!" he snarled. "Fire, fall on these three know-it-alls!"
Then all of a sudden fire fell from heaven and burned up Malthorne and his friends until they were nothing more than ashes. When the smoke cleared, Peter saw that he was standing in a valley full of dry bones.
"Son of man, can these bones live?" a familiar voice asked.
"Lord God, only you know," Peter answered.
"Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, 'O you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD,'" the voice said. "Thus says the Lord GOD unto these bones, 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: and I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD.'"
Peter knew what he must do. "Dry bones, rise up and connect with each other!" he said.
And as Peter spoke, there was a noise, and then there was a shaking, and the bones came together, bone connecting to bone. And when Peter stood and watched, he saw that the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above, but there was no breath in them.
"Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live,'" the voice said.
Peter stood and said, "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live."
And as Peter watched, there was a wind that blew upon the risen bodies, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.
"Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts," the voice said again. "Therefore prophesy and say unto them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves, and I shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land. Then shall you know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it,' says the LORD."
And then Peter awoke, and he felt different inside, as if he had been given a new power or ability that he never had before. He realized that he had a destiny to fulfill, and that the Jeremiah School was the place where this destiny would start.

The next morning Wesley woke up to find that Peter wasn't in his bed for the morning prayer. "Peter! What happened to you? Where did you go?" he asked as he looked around Peter's bed, finding no trace of him, not even of his clothes.
After prayer he joined Ginger in the house commons. "Morning, Wesley," she greeted. "Where's Peter?"
"That's what I'm wondering, because I didn't find him in the bed when I woke up this morning," Wesley responded.
"I hope he's not doing anything foolish, that would get him expelled from the school," Ginger said.
"His mind is still on Morgenstern, so who knows?" Wesley said. "Anyway, it would be best to get to the great hall and worry about what and where Peter is when we get our breakfasts."
"Yeah, I need some of that wake-up juice to get my mind fully functional," Ginger said, yawning. "If only we could get a few more hours of sleep in this place..."
All the students made their way to the great hall to get breakfast. It was there at the table for the House of John that Wesley and Ginger met Peter, already sitting there with his breakfast. "Peter, bro, are you okay?" Wesley asked, sounding excited.
"I'm fine, Wesley, I really am," Peter replied. "I just had to get up early to test something that God has given me last night."
"God has gifted you with an ability last night?" Ginger asked, sounding curious. "Can you tell us all about this new ability?"
"Is it something like what Malthorne is able to do by calling down fire on people?" Wesley asked, also desiring to know.
Peter sighed. "It would be best if I showed you this ability when we get through all our classes today. I'm not sure I want the whole school to know just yet what this new ability is."
"You're certain that this gift came from God?" Ginger asked.
"Of course I'm sure," Peter answered exasperated. "It's the same voice I've been hearing ever since I became a Jeremiah. It's that voice that's saying to me that I'm going to be a prophet to the nations."
"You're not the only one who heard that message, bro," Wesley said. "Everyone that has ever been a Jeremiah heard that same voice speaking the same message to them. Jesus says that His sheep will hear His voice, and they will follow Him."
"Scripture says every good and perfect gift comes from above, and comes from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning," Ginger said.
"What if that gift allows you to bend the forces of nature at your will?" Peter asked.
"If God gave you that gift, then He knows you're going to use it for the glory and advancement of His Kingdom," Wesley answered. "Wait a minute, is that the gift God has given you?"
"Oh, I would love to see you show us this kind of power God has gifted you!" Ginger said, sounding excited.
Peter sighed. "I promise to show you what it's about after all our classes are done."

The day felt like it rushed by for Peter, Wesley, and Ginger, because their minds were on the gift that God had given Peter. Wesley and Ginger were eager to find out exactly what it is that God gifted Peter with.
After the last class was over, Peter led Wesley and Ginger out to a portion of the surrounding forest where they were in a clearing that seemed very private, next to a small pond.
"This seems to be off campus grounds, you know," Ginger said. "Headmaster does not want us to beyond the boundaries of the campus, or else he will send the angels after us."
"Okay, Peter, what is it that you want to show us?" Wesley asked, eager to know.
"Just look at that pond and I will show you," Peter said. Wesley and Ginger watched as Peter stared at the pond and said, "Water, lift up yourself from the ground."
And just like that, Wesley and Ginger watched as all the water from the pond had risen up into the air and floated high above the ground, which was now dry. All the life in the pond was risen up with the water as well.
"Wow, like that's incredible, dude!" Wesley said, sounding impressed.
"First-years aren't supposed to have that ability," Ginger said, sounding surprised and cautious.
"There's nothing to worry, I have this ability all under control," Peter said, sounding a bit confident. "Water, return to the pond that you came from."
And just like that, the water poured down from the sky and filled the pond that it came from until it was full again.
"Are there any other things in nature that you can control, Peter?" Wesley asked.
"I can control earth, wind, and fire...I am pretty much the elemental prophet," Wesley answered. "Earth, make a statue of Jeremiah Xavier out of rock!" And just like that, the students watched as, out of the earth, a granite statue of Jeremiah Xavier had arisen.
"And now watch me destroy this statue," Peter said, sounding a bit confident. "Storm, cast down the statue with a lightning bolt!"
And soon the sky turned black and cloudy overhead, and a lightning bolt came out of the sky and struck the statue, blasting it into a million pieces. Wesley and Ginger recoiled at the sight of it.
"Wow, you're going to be pretty dangerous in the school, like nobody better mess with you!" Wesley said.
"What I don't understand is why God would give you that kind of power to wield," Ginger said to Peter. "Is there some sort of destiny He wants you to fulfill or something?"
"I think this is leading me to my eventual confrontation with Morgenstern and his Luciferian Academy students," Peter said. "The Lord knows they are dealing in something that I don't want to know about."
"Don't you ever talk that way about our glorious headmaster, Lucien Morgenstern," a voice broke in.
The three students saw three other students in the same area, only they were wearing robes and witch hats and carrying wands. "Who in the world are you guys?" Ginger asked.
"We're first-year students of Morgenstern Academy," one of the students answered. "I'm Arthur Porter, and this is Rudy Westlake and Artemis Godfrey. We're here to make our ministry about the one true Lord of Light be spread throughout the whole world so that the world can reject the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and His only begotten Son Jesus Christ."
"And you three look like students that we can practice our witchcraft upon, so get ready!" Rudy said.
"Your God power is no match for our evil power!" Artemis challenged. She waved her wand, and soon Wesley and Ginger found themselves tormented as they fell to the ground, overcome by an evil spirit.
"Lord God, heal my fellow students," Peter said, and that instant the evil spirits left Wesley and Ginger, and they stood upright again. "I pray that the same Spirit that is on me be upon my fellow students so we may fight the forces of evil."
"All that praying is not going to save you!" Arthur said, waving his wand and reciting a spell. Peter found himself being raised up into the air and whirling around, getting dizzy while Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis laughed.
"Storm, strike their wands so that they cannot practice their magic!" Peter called out. And instantly three lightning bolts came out of the sky and struck the wands of the three Luciferian Academy students, leaving them powerless.
"Now you three leave and tell your headmaster that Peter Stone is here, and with the help of God is going to protect the Jeremiah School from your fellow students of magic," Peter commanded.
"And what if we don't want to leave?" Rudy challenged. "How are you going to force us away?"
"I will force you away one way or another!" Peter replied. "Wind, send these three back to their school!"
And just like that, a whirlwind appeared over the three Luciferian Academy students and picked them up and carried them away. Ginger and Wesley watched as the three students were spinning around helplessly in the whirlwind as it carried them away.
"Oh boy, those magicians are going to hear about you, Peter!" Wesley said, sounding impressed.
"Well, we'd better return before...," Ginger started to say before she turned and saw that Brother Gabriel was there with a few angels standing beside him.
"You three better come and see the Headmaster right away!" Brother Gabriel commanded.

Peter, Wesley, and Ginger followed Gabriel back to the school, where they found themselves face to face with Jeremiah Xavier inside his own office, which they noticed was absent of any books, only scrolls that dated back to the 1st Century AD. The three of them wondered if those scrolls contained the original manuscripts for the New Testament or something, but that question left their minds as the Headmaster spoke to them.
"You three are supposed to remain on the grounds of the Jeremiah School at all times," he reprimanded. "Who knows what could have happened to you if you left the grounds and went someplace that only the Lord knows where you have gone?"
"We're sorry, Headmaster, but I had a new ability from the Lord that I had to share with Wesley and Ginger, because I was afraid the other students here might take notice of it and start to harass me," Peter said.
"I know about your new ability, Peter, because the Lord has told me," Jeremiah said.
"You knew about it all along?" Ginger asked.
"There are things the Lord reveals to me that I don't intend to share with the other students unless the Lord wills me to do so, Ginger," Jeremiah answered. "This new ability is something that will make Peter be the center of attention from his fellow first-year students, and I fear that it may draw attention from our enemy, the Luciferian Academy headmaster Lucien Morgenstern, if he is not already aware that Peter Stone, the son of Thomas and Susan Stone, may they rest in peace, is in this school."
"What is it that Morgenstern wants with Peter, if we may be so bold to ask, Headmaster?" Wesley asked.
"There is a unique destiny for Peter that is beyond my ability to know about, but it is entirely what the Lord is doing with Peter, because he has been called to be a prophet to the nations," Jeremiah answered. "You two are to watch over Peter to make sure he doesn't leave the grounds for any reason to seek out Morgenstern, lest our school comes under the demonic attack of his students."
"What if the Lord grants us the same ability to fight against the Luciferian Academy students?" Ginger asked.
"Then I would pray that you two would use your abilities wisely in defense of our school and your fellow students, and also for those whom the Lord will grant His salvation upon when you graduate from this school," Jeremiah answered. "There will be points deducted from the House of John for this indiscretion, but you will not be suspended or expelled for your actions. That will be all."
"Thank you, Headmaster," Peter said as the three of them bowed before Jeremiah and then left his office.
"Man, we got off pretty light with the Headmaster, Peter," Wesley said as the three of them walked back to their house commons. "Now you're really going to need us to watch after you and make sure you don't do something foolish."
"What makes you think I would need your help in taking down Morgenstern if I'm fated to go against him sometime in the future?" Peter said.
"We can't let you break the rules around here just because you have a gift from God," Ginger said. "Besides, our giftings are to glorify God and build up His body of believers in the world, not for taking personal vengeance against our enemies."
"There's just no way you're going to handle Morgenstern without us by your side, bro," Wesley said. "Where you go is where Ginger and I will go, and we'd be willing to give our lives for you."
"Although I would like to see you put Malthorne in his place if he and his goons ever bother us again," Ginger said.
"I prayed for the same Spirit to rest on you two in case you might need the same spiritual help against your enemies," Peter said. "You're not going to always have me around you to protect you."
"It's the Lord that protects us, don't you forget that," Wesley reminded Peter. "You get a big head around here, you might as well fall into the same trap as the Devil."
-----
In the meantime, Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis made their way back to Luciferian Academy, where the three had an unpleasant meeting with its headmaster Lucien Morgenstern.
"We swear by the powers of darkness that there's this student we met in the forest who attacked us by the power of God," Arthur said. "We were barely able to defend ourselves when he disarmed us and sent us away by a whirlwind."
"You three couldn't handle a single student from the Jeremiah School?" Morgenstern said, sounding very displeased.
"This student isn't an ordinary prophet, Headmaster," Rudy said.
"We saw him manipulate water, earth, and air when we first encountered him and his two friends," Artemis added.
"We need to do something if he ever decides to come after us and use his prophetic powers on us," Arther said.
"SILENCE!" Morgenstern roared. "I am sick of the excuses you have given me. You three will be sent to detention for your failure!"
The three students gulped in fear. "Yes, Headmaster," they meekly said as they bowed and excused themselves from the headmaster's office.
"Wait!" Morgenstern said before the three students left. "I have something else in mind that you can do for me in order to atone for your mistakes, but it's going to cost you your souls."
"Oh, yes, Headmaster, anything you want us to do, we'll do it for you!" Arthur said, with his two friends also nodding in agreement.

A slight update:
In the meantime, Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis made their way back to Luciferian Academy, where the three had an unpleasant meeting with its headmaster Lucien Morgenstern.

"We need to do something if he ever decides to come after us and use his prophetic powers on us," Arthur said.
"Did you imbeciles get a name?" Morgenstern asked, sounding stern.
"He called himself Peter Stone, Headmaster," Artemis answered.
"Peter Stone," Morgenstern said to himself, musing. "The boy that I couldn't kill because of his parents. And you three couldn't do anything against him. I'm so ashamed of you first-years."
"Really, Headmaster, we had no idea that this student would be so important to you," Rudy said.
"I'm sorry we didn't know about that, Headmaster!" Arthur blurted out. "We'll study to be more careful about..."
"SILENCE!" Morgenstern roared. "I am sick of the excuses you have given me. You three will be sent to detention for your failure!"
The three students gulped in fear. "Yes, Headmaster," they meekly said as they bowed and excused themselves from the headmaster's office.

For the rest of the day, Peter, Wesley, and Ginger kept to themselves, feeling like they had a wonderful secret to share with their fellow students but couldn't share it for fear that it would make Peter the center of attention from the school.
Back in the house commons, the three students were busy trying to study for the next day's lessons. But they could sense from each other that their minds were distracted by what Wesley and Ginger had seen Peter do with his new gift from God.
"You know what I would want for a gift if I was ever given such a prophetic gift, Peter?" Ginger said.
"What would you want?" Peter asked.
"Well, I was thinking...what if I could communicate with the animals the way that prophets in the Old Testament did...you know, like Balaam and his donkey," Ginger answered.
"Isn't Balaam supposed to be a bad guy prophet who was hired by an evil king to curse Israel?" Wesley asked.
"That's real surprising coming from you, Ginger," Peter said. "I assumed that you might be gifted as a healer or a scholar."
"I remember when my parent's nanny took me to the zoo, and I saw the lions for the first time," Ginger said, smiling at the memory. "Those lions look so fierce and yet gentle at the same time, I was wishing that I could be like a lion."
"And now you have the Lion of the tribe of Judah to emulate," Wesley said. "How cool is that?"
"And what about you, Wesley?" Peter asked. "What were you thinking God would grant you as a gift?"
Wesley shrugged. "I dunno. Maybe be able to speak life and death like Jesus did during His ministry?"
"As in literally speak life and death, not just use it as a metaphor for watching how you speak?" Ginger asked.
"Well, something like that, Ginger," Wesley answered. "Scripture does say that death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit."
"You should be careful if that's what God wants to gift you with," Peter warned. "Who knows how you would be able to control that power if you were to display it before everyone else on campus?"
"But we got the best teachers on campus that will help us control our abilities, so why are you so worried?" Wesley said.
"It's a nice thing to imagine, but I'm going to leave the spiritual giftings entirely to God and focus on getting my studies done, and so should you two," Ginger said. "You want to be so ignorant of the Bible that the Devil catches you off your guard?"
"Of course not, Ginger," Peter said defensively. "If it's important for me to read my Bible every day, then that's what I'm going to do."
"You won't regret having to learn things from the Bible," Ginger said, smiling.
-----
Soon it was bedtime, and Peter, Wesley, and Ginger went to their separate quarters. Peter and Wesley made sure they prayed together before they went to sleep.
"Malthorne's going to be pretty jealous of you if he ever finds out about you, Peter," Wesley said as he and Peter settled into their beds.
"I bet I'd be pretty much on Malthorne's hit list for people to pick on, if he isn't already giving Ginger any grief," Peter said.
"What's Malthorne got for a supernatural ability other than to throw fireballs at people?" Wesley said. "I don't think his buddies are equally gifted in that gift, or else there'll be trouble at the school."
"Malthorne could have toasted Ginger right on the spot, but he didn't, and I'm curious to know why," Peter said.
"Probably because prophets are not supposed to do harm to each other...at least the true prophets of God anyway," Wesley said. "He did pretty much say, 'Touch not Mine anointed, and do My prophets no harm.'"
"So you're saying God's got Malthorne on a leash?" Peter asked.
"Malthorne can't do nothing outside of God's will, man," Wesley answered. "That doesn't mean he don't have his own free will to be a really nasty person."
"Probably for the best that normals don't run into people like Malthorne, because he'd be pretty dangerous around them," Peter said.
"That's why I'm praying for Malthorne, man, that he gets on the same program as everyone else here and stop trying to pit his will against God's, because he's not going to win," Wesley said.
"I'll settle for Malthorne being humiliated than destroyed, if **** is supposed to be that bad," Peter said. "Anyway, I'm going to drift off to sleep now. Good night, Wesley."
"Good night to you too, Peter," Wesley said, smiling as he and Peter closed their eyes and rested.

Peter had another dream that night. He dreamed that he was standing on top of a mountain, where he saw a bush that was on fire, and yet was not consumed. He passed his hand through the flames and felt no pain; he didn't even see his hand catch on fire.
"I am the Lord your God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the God of your Savior Jesus Christ," a voice said from within the burning bush. "I have heard your prayers and those of your closest friends, and know your hearts, that you wish to serve Me."
"That is my request, Lord God, and my desire is that they would honor You with their gifts," Peter said.
"Then you shall have that which you desire for your two friends," the voice said again. Then, appearing next to the bush, were two animals, a lion on the left side of the bush, and an eagle on the right side.
"Behold, your fellow servants will be with you on your journey," the voice said. "Ginger shall have the roar of a lion, and shall command all the animals at the sound of her voice. Wesley shall have the cry of an eagle, and shall have the power over life and death. What shall be bound on earth shall be bound in heaven, and what shall be loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven."
And then Peter awoke, and he realized that he was talking to God again in his dreams. He smiled.
-----
Meanwhile, at the Luciferian Academy, Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis were performing a summoning spell, using Artemis' cat Crookback as a living sacrifice. "This had better be worth losing my cat over, because if this summoning spell doesn't work, you're going to owe me a new cat," Artemis said, scowling.
"Hey, don't worry; a cat's got literally nine lives!" Arthur said rather casually.
"What's one of the cat's lives over the lives of the people at our academy?" Rudy said, trying to sound convincing.
Artemis sighed, realizing that her friends were right. "Well, we've got the cat drawn and quartered, he isn't going to go nowhere, so let's get this spell going!" she said, opening up a spell book.
"Hey, stop squirming, cat, or we're going to use all your lives!" Rudy said, sounding annoyed as Crookback squirmed around, trying to look for a way to escape.
"Well, here goes!" Arthur said as he, Rudy, and Artemis raised up their wands together and said: "O Lucifer, son of the morning, we come to sacrifice one of the lives God has given to cats so that we may summon together the spirit of the Minotaur upon our enemies, Peter Stone and his two friends at the Jeremiah School."
The cat squealed loudly as he felt one of his lives being taken out of his body. His soul hovered in the air until it suddenly disappeared, and an evil dark light shone down upon the three: "Behold, my slaves, your wish has been granted. Behold, the evil spirit of the Minotaur, child of the Nephilim!" a voice from the light said ominously.
Soon the three students heard a roaring and a thudding. "Artie, what is that?" Artemis shouted.
"I don't know; I think we're getting our wish granted in the worst way possible!" Arthur shouted back.
"Arthur, look at that creature!" Rudy cried out, paralyzed with fear.
Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis looked and saw something that looked like a giant creature, being half man and half bull, approached them bearing a massive club for beating his enemies with. The creature looked at the three children and snorted.
"I am fully at your command to do with as you please, but my victory comes at the cost of your souls," the creature spoke in a fearless voice, strong and forceful.
"Uh, yeah, you're ours to command, and we want you to destroy our enemy, Peter Stone!" Arthur said, trying to sound confident in the face of his own fear.
"I would like to know who this Peter Stone is, and then I will destroy him for you," the Minotaur said.

Peter, Wesley, and Ginger woke up the next morning and met each other in the house commons. "Peter! Wesley! I think I was visited by God in a dream that I had last night!" Ginger said, sounding excited.
"Me too, sister!" Wesley said. "He said that you and me are going to be gifted spiritual gifts."
"I had a feeling this was going to happen, since God also told me in my dreams," Peter said.
"So you knew all along that God was going to give me and Wesley spiritual gifts," Ginger said. "What else did He say unto you?"
"I think that was it, Ginger," Peter said. "Most of what I heard in my dreams relates to what God's going to do with Israel in the end-times."
"Who knows, Peter, you might be one of the two witnesses of Revelation," Wesley said.
"The two witnesses?" Peter asked, sounding confused.
"The two witnesses are in Revelation chapter 11, Peter," Ginger explained. "God says, 'And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it does not rain in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.'"
"So these two witnesses are also prophets that are going to emerge in the Tribulation," Peter said, realizing.
"My mama believes it's going to be Moses and Elijah that are going to appear as the two witnesses, but I think one of the two witnesses is going to come out of these prophetic schools," Wesley said.
"There's more of these prophetic schools that exist?" Peter asked, voicing disbelief.
"Look, I know how exciting this can all be, but I would suggest we keep this gifting all to ourselves until we can be comfortable enough to show it to our fellow students," Ginger recommended.
"Yeah, especially given the power I now have," Wesley said with a bit of dread in his voice.
-----
The day of classes seemed to past like the previous day, with Peter, Wesley, and Ginger's mind about the dream they just had together. However, Ginger's distracted look caught the attention of Malthorne, who sensed that something incredible happened to her that she doesn't want to tell anyone. He whispered to Blaynes and Murrayne to watch over Peter, Wesley, and Ginger to see what they're going to do. Blaynes and Murrayne nodded, also curious to know what's up with the three students in class that Malthorne dared to challenge.
After the classes ended for the day, Peter, Wesley, and Ginger went to the edge of the forest, though not off campus grounds, where Ginger and Wesley decided to show their new abilities.
"I don't think anyone else is looking at us at the moment, Ginger," Peter said after looking around his surroundings.
"Then let me show you what the Lord has gifted me with," Ginger said. And then she opened her mouth, and suddenly it sounded like the song of birds were perfectly sung from her own lips, and she sang until she stopped. Soon the forest was all stirring, and all the creatures came up to Ginger and stood beside her, looking eager to obey her commands.
"Holy Lord God Almighty, you can call animals to you with your own voice," Wesley said, sounding amazed.
"Yes, and I can command them as well," Ginger said, sounding proud. "Bear, kneel down so that I can ride you!"
And just like that, Peter and Wesley saw that the bear knelt down and allowed Ginger to sit on his back, while Peter and Wesley stood and watched.
"I somehow knew that God granted you the ability you wanted, Ginger," Peter said, smiling.
Suddenly, a blue bird tweeted near Ginger's ear. "What is it?" she asked. The blue bird tweeted out something that only Ginger understood as she nodded and said, "Okay, take us to where it happened."
"Now what's going on?" Wesley asked.
"The mother bird's baby has fallen down from the nest and has died," Ginger answered. "She's going to direct us to where the bird fell."
Peter nodded. "As long as it's not far off the campus grounds." He and Wesley followed Ginger as she rode on the bear's back to where the mother bird's baby has fallen on the ground, seemingly dead.
Wesley picked up the baby bird in his hands. "I can sense that there is no life in him. Let's see if I can change that." He then looked at the baby bird in his hands and said, "Little bird, arise."
And just like that, the bird opened his eyes and started moving around in Wesley's hands until he fluttered off and away.
"You gave life back to the bird with just your voice," Ginger said. "That's amazing."
"I felt as if the Lord Himself was speaking through me in that moment, giving life back to the baby bird," Wesley said, sounding amazed at his own gift. "I must truly have the gift of the power of the tongue, to speak both life and death."

Soon the animals fled away in fear. "What's the matter?" Peter asked.
"Sounds like somebody...or more like something...is coming for us, Peter," Wesley answered.
"Whatever it is, it seems evil," Ginger said.
Then they heard the sound of a silver trumpet, and the angels calling out, "Students, retreat into the building! There is a demonic intruder on the grounds of our school that we need to deal with!"
"A demonic intruder?" Peter said. That peaked their curiosity as Peter, Wesley, and Ginger approached where the sound of the demonic intruder was coming from. Soon they found it: a half-man, half-bull creature was roaming through the forest, armed with a massive club, looking for someone to knock down.
"I am here for Peter Stone, which my masters have sent me for to destroy," the creature called out. "Give me this man so that we may fight together, and if he prevails against me and overcome me, then we will be his servants, but if I prevail against him and overcome him, then his fellow students will be our servants."
"Get out of here, Wesley and Ginger," Peter said. "This creature wants to fight with me alone."
"We're not letting you take him on alone, Peter," Wesley said.
"You said it, Wesley," Ginger said. "Birds, swarm down upon the creature that is attacking us."
And just like that, a flock of birds came down and swarmed upon the Minotaur, making it impossible for him to swing his club down upon anyone. The Minotaur swung in vain and missed as the birds harassed him.
"These cheap tricks will not stop me!" the Minotaur roared, finally scaring away the birds with a massive growl.
"Well, let's see how you handle this!" Wesley said. "Chains, bind this creature from the pits of ****!"
And just like that, chains appeared out of nowhere and wrapped themselves around the Minotaur, restraining his movements until he fell to the ground, struggling uselessly against the chains.
"I'm not sure how long that's going to hold against this creature, so here goes my next attack," Wesley said. "Creature, be gone and return to the pits of ****!"
And just like that, the earth opened up and swallowed the creature whole, causing the Minotaur to cry out in vain as the earth closed itself up, leaving the land as it was before it had opened up.
Some of the students had watched this fight between the Minotaur and the three students and exclaimed, "Peter and his friends have kicked the Minotaur's butt! All praise the Lord for Peter, Wesley, and Ginger!'
And soon Peter, Wesley, and Ginger found themselves surrounded by their fellow first-year students who heard of the fight and came to congratulate the three on their victory against the creature. Peter stood and said nothing, but Ginger and Wesley smiled as if they liked being recognized by their fellow students as being prophets of God.
"Oh, you three are going to be in big trouble!" a nasally voice broke in, sounding very demanding. Everyone turned and saw that it was Malthorne with Blaynes and Murrayne by his side, looking like they just saw something private and illegal going on at the school.
"Malthorne, what are you going on about?" Peter asked, trying to sound innocent.
"You know what I'm talking about...you three being the gifted of God to perform miracles like you did with the Minotaur," Malthorne answered. "Blaynes saw Wesley bind him up with those chains that appeared out of nowhere."
"Seriously, dude, we were preventing a demonic intruder from coming on school grounds, and all you want to do is complain about it to the Headmaster?" Wesley said.
"You three shouldn't even be performing those miracles as first-years!" Malthorne said. "And girls should know better than to be prophets! They know their place in society, as mothers and housewives bringing up children for their husbands!"
"Ooh, you are so annoying with your sexism, Malthorne!" Ginger fumed. "I could ask the birds to come harass you if you're going to be this much of a total jerk to your fellow prophets!"
"You six should leave each other alone, and let Headmaster Xavier deal with this situation," a commanding voice broke in. The six turned and saw Brother Gabriel with his pet hawk approaching them.
"Well, I'm not finished with you, Peter!" Malthorne snapped. "I'm going to make sure you get kicked off this campus and sent back home to your mundane normal family along with Ginger and Wesley with his freakish family members."
Peter, Wesley, and Ginger watched as Malthorne, Blaynes, and Murrayne walked off. "We sure made some enemies in this school, bro!" Wesley said.
"Ah, he's just jealous that he's not the only first-year student who has prophetic powers like he does," Ginger said.
"But he's just using his powers to be a bully," Peter said. "How are we supposed to deal with that?"
"Remember what the Lord said, children, that though the Law of God may say, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,' He tells us to not resist evil, but rather he who smites on your right cheek, offer him the left also, and if somebody compels you to go one mile, offer to go two miles with him," Gabriel said.
"So we're just to let Malthorne walk all over us in this school, Gabriel?" Wesley asked, not liking the sound of that.
"There's just something about himself that he doesn't like, and the Lord is going to confront Malthorne about it sooner or later," Gabriel answered. "Your job is to not give him an excuse to get yourselves in trouble with the lad."
"So does the Headmaster want to see us again?" Ginger asked.
"He sent me personally to get you three," Gabriel answered. "He foresaw the victory that you three would have in this forest and would like to ask you some questions."
"And hopefully tell us that we're not supposed to use our powers at the school unless it's absolutely necessary for our defense," Wesley said.
"That's going to be a real bummer, not being able to use my gift for protecting nature," Ginger said, sounding sad.
"Some giftings are more subtle than others, my little lady," Gabriel said, smiling.
-----
Meanwhile, flying high above the ground on broomsticks, Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis took turns peering through the binoculars they were using to watch the battle between the three Jeremiahs and the Minotaur. They were disappointed in how it ended.
"Rats, we wasted one of my cat's lives just to bring up something that gets defeated by them," Artemis said, sighing.
"This shouldn't be possible!" Arthur said, scowling. "A Minotaur against a nature bender prophet should have been an interesting fight."
"Yeah, where did those two get the powers to kick the Minotaur's butt?" Rudy asked, also sounding displeased.
"I bet it's God's work on those Jerrys," Arthur answered. "He's always favoring the ones He could use against us and our nefarious purposes. Quick, let's get out of here and plan another attack."
So the three students flew away on their broomsticks, leaving no evidence that they were even seen.

In Jeremiah Xavier's office, the three students were questioned by the headmaster about the incident that happened between themselves and the Minotaur.
"We just took it upon ourselves to deal with the Minotaur since all three of us now have these prophetic abilities, Headmaster," Ginger said. "I now have the ability to command and communicate with animals, and Wesley has the ability to speak life and death over things plus he could bind creatures with chains."
"That was a foolish thing you three did when you were specifically told to retreat to the building for your safety," Jeremiah said. "You three will lose points for your house for not obeying direct orders. However, because your brave thinking has protected your fellow students from harm, you will also gain points. I admire your courage in tackling the problem with what God has granted you."
"Oh, thank you, Headmaster," Wesley said, sounding grateful.
"However, because of the new abilities the three of you have gained as first-year students, I might have to put you in an advanced class for students who are gifted with such protective abilities so that you may control these abilities and use them in a way that glorifies God and edifies the school body as well," Jeremiah said. "New books will be delivered to you for this advanced class that you will be taking together. I want you three to study those books and be prepared for what you are going to learn in that class."
"Sounds like you're giving us more homework to do, Headmaster," Peter said.
"Being a prophet of the Lord is nothing to make light of, Peter," Jeremiah said. "He has gifted you with these abilities to serve His purposes and His overall plan for the world. These are dark times that we are living in, and you and your fellow students might as well be prepared to face what is coming for the world, because the Lord is coming soon and time is getting short."
"Do you honestly know when the Lord is coming, Headmaster, if I may be so bold to ask?" Ginger asked.
"That, unfortunately, has not been revealed to me, for the times and seasons are still under the authority of God the Father," Jeremiah answered. "Our job is to be like the wise virgins who kept oil in their lamps waiting for the Bridegroom to come. No matter how long it may take for the Lord to come, we are to be prepared for that day when it comes, because it will come upon the world like a thief in the night. Anyway, that will be all, so you three are dismissed."
"Thank you, Headmaster," Peter said as the three bowed their heads before leaving.
Outside the office, Peter, Wesley, and Ginger talked among themselves as they headed for the great hall for dinner. "I wonder how could have sent that Minotaur to attack our school and challenge me to a fight," Peter said.
"I sense that it could be those three students from the Luciferian Academy whom we were dealing with the other day," Ginger said.
"I agree with you on that, sister," Wesley said. "The evil that I was sensing from that creature does smell like it's the Devil's handiwork."
"Those students really seem to want to be rid of us prophets, if they hate us that badly," Peter said.
"We're going to be on the Devil's hit list whether we want to be or not, bro," Wesley said. "I might as well make my stand in the Lord and take on these people who are being used by the Devil for his evil schemes."
"Those sorcerers are lost souls who need the Lord, so I pray that the Lord will rescue them from the darkness that's consuming them before it's too late," Ginger said.
Just then they ran into a person who looked like he was related to Wesley. "Hey, Wesley, bro, good job handling the Minotaur!" he said, reaching out a hand to shake hands with.
"Hey, it was the Lord's doing, I was just on hand to do what He calls me to do," Wesley said, shaking the other person's hand. "Peter, Wesley, this is my older brother Wilford. He's a fourth-year student of the school."
"We're pleased to meet you, Wilford," Peter said, as he and Ginger both shook Wilford's hand.
"My pleasure," Wilford said. "Me and my friends were thinking you could join our club where we can practice our defense and attack gifts with one another, to make sure we can best protect ourselves against the plots and ploys of our enemies."
"A club for gifted prophets?" Ginger asked. "You mean, you also have similar gifts like us?"
"Sure thing, sis," Wilford answered. "We've got a dozen or so students who are already part of our club, and we'd even accept you first-years if you got time between your studies to hang out with our crew."
"I'm not sure you'd want me in that club, because I got the literal power to speak life and death over things, bro," Wesley said.
"Ain't no problem with that," Wilford said. "I'm sure you can be taught to use your powers wisely."
"Sounds like an interesting idea," Peter said. "What do you think, Ginger?"
"Uh, I'm not sure I'd want to be in a club where we just use our prophetic gifts for fun, Peter," Ginger said cautiously.
"Yeah, I'd have to agree with my sister there, Wilford," Wesley said.
"Just in case either of you change your minds, I'll be around for you to talk to," Wilford said as he watched the three of them depart.
"I'm ashamed of you two because you don't want to take up Wilford's offer to join his afterschool club," Peter said as he was alone with Wesley and Ginger.
"We got to take using our abilities seriously, Peter," Ginger said. "Who knows what kind of trouble we can get ourselves into if we end up using them for fun."
"Yeah, I don't want to accidentally kill one of our fellow students in one of their games," Wesley said. "The power of life and death being in the tongue is not something I'd want to take very lightly."
"We can sit in one of their matches and see what goes on in their meetings, if you don't want to participate in it yourself," Peter suggested.
"That's about as far as I will go," Ginger said.
"Me too," Wesley said. "Come on, let's get to the great hall for dinner!"

At dinnertime, Ginger received an email from her mother: that she was doing well and that the surgery was a success; that she has been in the hospital for a few days and would be released to go home soon.
"Praise the Lord, He's got your parents' back, sister!" Wesley said, sounding pleased.
"I'm glad that the Lord was watching over you and your parents during this difficult time, Ginger," Peter said.
Ginger smiled. "I just wish that didn't have to happen in my first few days away from them. I feel so bad that I couldn't be with her in the hospital just to check up on her with my father."
"Who knows, God could be sparing them for such a moment that they will come to know Him in spirit and in truth," Peter said.
"Yeah, won't that be a great moment!" Wesley said. "You come home from your first year here and find out that your parents are saved. That's definitely something worth praying for."
"I haven't heard anything from my aunt and uncle yet, so who knows what's going on with them?" Peter said, sighing afterward.
"We won't stop praying for them, Peter," Wesley said, touching Peter's shoulder. "They're pretty much on my prayer list along with the rest of my extended family."
"So that leaves us pretty much with our newfound fame around campus, guys," Ginger said as she noticed that a group of students around her house's table were sitting there looking at them, acting like they're listening to every they were saying.
"Yeah, we're so popular that we've attracted the attention of Malthorne and his goons," Wesley said.
"I honestly don't care what Malthorne or his two friends think of us," Peter said. "They're not going to ruin our right to be educated here on how to be good prophets. The Lord help us if he ever tries something stupid like take over the school."
"I don't know, the Jeremiah School's got good supporters as well as those who just want to use the school as a means to further their own ends, Peter," Wesley said.
"We shouldn't try doing anything that would get ourselves into trouble and risk us getting expelled from this school," Ginger said. "My parents are pretty much paying for my education, and I don't want to disappoint them."
"Somebody better try telling Malthorne that, sis," Wesley said. "He seems like the kind of guy that would bend the rules just so he can be on top."
"Well, if he wants to challenge me, I'd say let him," Peter said. "He's not the only first-year prophet around here who's got powers."
"Let's not try to pick fights with anybody around here, Peter," Ginger said. "That will really get us in trouble, and I don't want to have to learn how to be a prophet apart from being in the Jeremiah School."
"You said that there are other prophetic schools in existence, right, Wesley?" Peter asked.
"Yeah, but not all of them are run with the right spirit behind them as far as its headmasters," Wesley answered. "The White Knights Academy seems to be after people who think only the white people in America are the true sons of Israel that were descended from the lost tribes of Israel."
"You mean that there is a prophetic school that has racists in it?" Ginger asked, not liking the sound of that.
"My mom keeps tabs on all sorts of prophetic things, which she writes in her blog, The Prophetic Watchwoman," Wesley answered. "She wants to make sure that children who are born with the prophetic gift are steered away from such people who would train them to use their gifts for their own racist ends."
"First there's the Luciferian Academy, and now there's also a White Knights Academy that we need to worry about?" Peter asked, sounding surprised.
"The Devil's at work trying to turn Christians against each other, so that he can divide and conquer them, bro," Wesley answered. "That's why we got to pray for the spirit of unity in the whole body of Christ, so that we can stand up against his wily schemes."
"If the White Knights Academy is under the sway of the Devil, it certainly needs our prayers so that the Lord could intervene in their lives and show them the true Light," Ginger said.
"I wouldn't disagree with you on that, Ginger," Peter said. "I don't want to have to deal with a group of racists who think they are Christians when they certainly don't act like Christians."

Alone in the House of John commons together after study, they were discussing the fact that they were now assigned to the class of Defense Against The Dark Arts with its teacher Solomon Davidson.
"Solomon's supposed to be a really tough teacher, Peter," Wesley said. "I heard stories from my brother about how hard it is to pass one of his classes because he focuses mostly on Scripture and how to use it properly as a defense."
"Sounds like no matter what we're studying here, we're still going to end up reading Scripture to get most of our information for passing our classes," Peter said.
"I like that kind of challenge, Peter," Ginger said. "It will keep us sharp and on our toes for anything that we're going to have to deal with as prophets of the Lord."
"I feel like I'm already ready to deal with the likes of those Luciferian Academy jerks," Peter said. "I mean, who are they to come up against the prophets of the Lord?"
"We may have more power than they do, Peter, but they still got more cunning schemes from the master manipulator himself," Wesley said. "Don't think that you can't be deceived, because if you start thinking you can't be deceived, that's when you're most likely to be deceived...at least that's what my mama says."
"I agree with that kind of thought, Wesley," Ginger said. "Scripture says that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, so it's no surprise that his ministers will also disguise themselves as 'ministers of righteousness', whose end shall be according to their works."
"Well, what if the Lord wants me to confront Morgenstern right here and now?" Peter asked. "What then? Are you going to try to stop me because that's what the Lord's directing me to do?"
"Neither of us would try to fight what the Lord wants to do with you, Peter," Ginger said.
"Yeah, but you've got to make sure that it's the Lord telling you and not just some random dream you had in your head some night that's telling you to do this or that," Wesley added.
"Well, neither of you had to lose both your parents to somebody who might as well be the Devil in human flesh when you were just a baby," Peter said, sounding a bit angry.
"Hey, we get it, Peter!" Wesley said, sounding a bit defensive. "But understand that you're not the only one around here that has lost parents. Lowell had to be brought up by his grandma because both his parents died on a missionary trip. I'm sure they knew that Lowell would be in good hands before they gave up him up to his grandma."
"We're not going to let you face Morgenstern without us, Peter," Ginger said. "Even if it means we get expelled from this school, we're going to stick by you and make sure Morgenstern doesn't try to corrupt you or destroy you. That's the last thing I think your parents would have wanted of you."
Peter sighed. "I'm still going to take up Wilford's offer to join his afterschool prophetic gifts club, to see what that's all about. You two can do whatever the Lord leads you to do, but I want to give his little group a try."
"That's your decision, bro, we'll honor it and let you go," Wesley said, realizing that he wasn't going to change Peter's mind about the issue.
Ginger checked her phone and realized the time. "Looks like we should get ourselves ready for bed. We got a lot to do tomorrow, and I would like to rise up ready and refreshed from a good night's sleep." She got up from the chair she was sitting up and picked up her books and started headed for the girls' section. "I'll see you boys in the morning."
"Goodnight, Ginger," Peter said as he and Wesley watched her leave the commons.
Wesley yawned. "Might as well hit the sack and get ourselves ready for the next day, and whatever's in store for us tomorrow."
"I'll join you, Wesley," Peter said as they both got up out of their chairs, picked up their books, and headed for the boys' section, where they saw most of their fellow students were already asleep.

After prayer, Peter got into his bed and fell fast sleep. In the middle of the night, he found himself in another dream. This time he was standing in what looked like a beautiful garden full of all kinds of trees and plants that were good for food. Then he saw a tree that had golden apples growing from it. The fruit looked so delicious that Peter wanted to pluck one of the apples from the tree and eat it right then and there.
Then Peter saw something like a snake slither its way down the tree, looking like it was coming for whoever was disturbing the tree it was jealously guarding. The snake stood up before Peter and then transformed itself into a human figure, which Peter recognized.
"Morgenstern! What are you doing in my dream, and how is it that you can appear in my dreams?" Peter asked.
"You and I are very much alike, Peter," Morgenstern said. "After all, you happen to be my son."
"Your son?" Peter asked, sounding disbelief. "How could you be? My parents are Thomas and Susan Stone."
Morgenstern chuckled. "You know very little about yourself, so let me tell you that I had a relationship with your mother Susan Fields, which was the name she was going under before she married Thomas Stone. Unfortunately, your mother would never fully give me her heart or her soul because she was solely dedicated to the Lord. That's when I gave your mother a little 'going away present', a little something of me to remember us by."
Peter looked astonished. "You did that to my mother? How could you!"
"It was the best thing that I gave your mother, but she would never admit it," Morgenstern said, sounding like he was getting pleasure from telling Peter this news. "Thomas Stone married your mother to hide the shame she felt of carrying you, and she gave birth, and you came forth into this world...as payback for all the times your mother refused anything that I would give her. But the time came when I wanted to take you for myself and raise you as my own son. That's when your mother resisted, and your adoptive father also stood against me, but it was in vain, for I have killed them with my two bare hands, burning them from the inside out. Unfortunately I couldn't get my hands on you, for God had supernaturally protected you from me, and have called the people of the Jeremiah School to take you to your aunt and uncle, where they watched over you until you were of age to become a prophet."
"You also knew that I was going to be a prophet?" Peter said. "So why are you out to destroy me?"
"Because you are an obstacle that I must remove if my plans of world domination are to take place, Peter," Morgenstern responded. "Being the headmaster of Luciferian Academy is only the beginning. With my influence being spread all over the world, everyone will come to accept me as their rightful king and ruler, and I will be able to control everything that is in this world...and destroy all those who will oppose me, including every single Christian, whether they are a Jeremiah or not."
"You're not going to make me bow down before you and accept you as my master, Morgenstern," Peter stated bravely.
"Oh, but I think you will, because I'm already working to achieve that end," Morgenstern said proudly. He then showed Peter a vision of two adults that looked like Harry and Dottie Dresser, the both of them standing with their backs toward each other and having bitter expressions on their faces. "Behold your aunt and uncle, whom you just left in the care of the Lord when you went to the Jeremiah School. Without you being there with them, I can easily destroy their marriage with each other and leave that part of your family devastated. Your cousin Donald will be so depressed that he will leave his parents and join a gang and do drugs and commit all sorts of heinous acts against people."
"You're bluffing," Peter said in a scoffing tone.
"Don't think that I can't make it happen, Peter," Morgenstern said. "I can do anything I want, and there's nothing you can do in your own power to stop me. Let's see if your god is able to protect them from me."
And then Peter awoke, and realized that he needed to check on something. He turned on his phone and texted a message to his cousin Donald, to see if he was awake: "Hey, Donald, you there?"
Peter waited a good while for a response, and then it came: "Hey, Jerry, how's it going?"
"Just want to ask you if everything's all right with Aunt Dottie and Uncle Harry," Peter texted.
"Some fights between my mom and dad," Donald texted back. "Why, what's wrong?"
"Something I don't feel comfortable sharing with you right now," Peter texted. "Tell your parents that I'm still praying for them."
"No problem, Jerry," Donald texted back. "How's school?"
"It's a little different than what I expected, but it's okay," Peter texted.
"Just be careful, don't let those weirdos warp your mind," Donald texted back.
"Got to go," Peter texted. "Talk to you soon."
"Yeah, good night," Donald texted back with a thumbs-up icon.
Peter turned off his phone, then he got on his knees and prayed: "O Lord God, the Heavenly Father, I pray right now for the safety of my Aunt Dottie and Uncle Harry's marriage together, that You would keep the enemy from trying to destroy my cousin's family, and that You continue to watch over them for their good, and the good of advancing Your Kingdom here on this earth. Help me to overcome my enemy with Your strength, wisdom, and grace, that I will not succumb to the temptations of the Devil, and that I will not be ignorant to his schemes. In Your only begotten Son Jesus' name I pray. Amen."
And Peter got back into bed and slept peacefully for the rest of the night.

By morning, Wesley woke up and looked at Peter's bed, and it was empty. "Peter, man, where did you go this morning?" he said as he looked around to see where Peter had gone.
After his morning prayer and getting himself dressed, Wesley met with Ginger as she left the girls' section to join with the other students in the commons. "Morning, Wesley," Ginger greeted. "Where's Peter?"
"I don't know, Ginger," Wesley responded. "This is the second time I woke up to find that he was not in his bed. Must be something going on with him that's happening in his dreams?"
"You mean he could be mentally tormented by Morgenstern or something?" Ginger asked.
"Yeah, something like that," Wesley answered. "This dude's got a bad case of Morgenstern that needs a cure."
"I feel sorry for Peter," Ginger said. "He lost his parents to Morgenstern, and he can't seem to let God handle dealing with him by Himself without thinking he has to have a hand in it."
"That's my sense of the situation in my very spirit," Wesley said. "It's like the past few days he's been getting dreams either from God or from Morgenstern."
"You think Morgenstern is trying to communicate with Peter through his dreams?" Ginger said. "But that should be impossible. How can anything get past God's shield of security over this place?"
"I honestly don't know, sister," Wesley said, shrugging his shoulders. "Just gonna have to be more watchful of him, to make sure Morgenstern isn't using him for something evil."
Suddenly they could hear the sound of a silver trumpet bellowing out a signal. "Children, remain where you are inside the building," a loud voice boomed out. "There has been a Leviathan spotted in our lake that we need to deal with."
"A Leviathan?" Ginger asked. "What's a Leviathan doing being so close to the campus?"
"Sounds like Peter's getting himself in danger, and we've got to help him," Wesley replied.
They both got to the great hall, where everybody was watching a big screen and praying over what's going on. A big long slithery creature has emerged from the lake, looking like he was ready to toast anybody with his fiery breath. On the shore of the lake the students could see Peter standing before this creature, looking ready to take it on himself.
"You, a little boy, thinks that he can take me on, the king of the children of pride?" the creature spoke in a disdainful manner. "Come to me, and I will feed your remains to the beasts of the field and the birds of the air."
"You shall not prevail against me and my school, foul creature, because I come in the name of the Lord of Hosts, whom you have defied, to deliver you back to the place that you came from," Peter said. "Fire, fall from the sky upon Leviathan."
And just like that, a hail of fire and brimstone came from the sky and pelted Leviathan. It reacted as if it were being hit by mere rocks and pebbles.
"Pathetic powers you have, little boy, to control nature," Leviathan scoffed. "Let's see you handle this!"
And with that, Leviathan breathed fire upon Peter while everybody watched. A good deal of the students closed their eyes, because they didn't want to see how that would end. But then the fires were soon extinguished by a small rain cloud that washed over Peter until he stood again, looking like the fire hasn't even touched him.
"You're forgetting, Leviathan, that 'no weapon formed against me shall prosper'," Peter said confidently.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" Leviathan shrieked.
"Nothing is impossible with God," Peter said. "Storm, strike him with a bolt of lightning."
Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck Leviathan, causing it to writhe in pain as the electricity coursed through its body. A hideous shriek came from the creature as it felt the agony of being seared on the inside.
"Quick, sister, the door is open!" Wesley said, noticing a door that led to the outside was new open. He and Ginger quietly snuck away and joined Peter by the shore of the lake as he was confronting Leviathan.
"I'm not sure what my power would do against Leviathan, but here goes...SEAGULLS, ATTACK!" Ginger cried out
Suddenly a flock of seagulls came pouring down from the sky and attacked Leviathan, who was trying to recover from the lightning attack, only to soon be pelted on by the birds. Leviathan sneered as he breathed on the seagulls.
"Chains, wrap around Leviathan and bind him tight!" Wesley shouted.
Then out of nowhere chains appeared and wrapped themselves around the huge serpentine creature, constricting its movements. Leviahtan screamed as it found itself being squeezed to an inch of its life by the massive mystical metal chains.
"Now to finish it," Peter said. "Earth, open up and send Leviathan back to ****."
And just like that, there was a mighty rumbling as the earth opened itself up and drew Leviathan back down beneath the waters to the deepest reaches of the earth, closing itself up afterward.
The students erupted into cheers as they watched Peter, Wesley, and Ginger take down Leviathan. "Praise God! He through his prophets has delivered us from the Leviathan!" one of the students cried out.
"Thank you, God, for Your deliverance!" another said shouted.
"HALLELUJAH!" the students all shouted together. All, that is, except for Malthorne, Blaynes, and Murrayne, who just stared at the screen and scowled, feeling jealous.
"Bunch of showoffs! That should have been me out there against the Leviathan!" Malthorne pouted.
"What are we going to do about those three first-year prophets, Mal?" Blaynes asked.
"Yeah, it looks like they're going to have the run of the whole place just by their fans," Murrayne said, sounding fearful.
Malthorne thought for a moment, and then smiled. "Come with me, there's something private we need to discuss," he said to Blaynes and Murrayne, ushering them outside the great hall through the crowd of students.
-----
Peter, Wesley, and Ginger came into the great hall in time for the breakfast to be served. It looked like the entire student body was giving them their utmost attention as they allowed the three students to get their breakfasts and sit down at their house's table.
"Hey, Peter, are you all right?" Wesley asked, noticing that Peter was starting to feel a little sad.
"You look like something terrible about yourself has been revealed to you," Ginger said. "Would you like to tell us?"
Peter sighed. "I'm not sure I'd want to tell, because I'm afraid it would make me look like the enemy in this school."
"It's really that shameful, bro?" Wesley said, sounding surprised.
"Whatever it is, Peter, it's not your fault," Ginger said. "Only God knows what you are feeling right now about whatever it is that's upsetting you. If you feel like this needs to be between you and God, we will respect that, and so will God."
Peter thought about that for a moment. Then he said in a voice low enough for only Wesley and Ginger to hear, "How would you feel if your best friend is a son of Lucien Morgenstern?"
Ginger gasped. "You are the son of Lucien Morgenstern?" she exclaimed in a whisper, trying to keep herself from being overheard.
"Oh, man, this is just a heavy revelation to deal with," Wesley said in a woeful voice.
"We need to take this information to prayer right now," Ginger suggested. "That way this information can be kept secret from the entire body."
"A good idea," Peter said.
The three students held hands with each other as Ginger opened up in prayer. "O Lord God, the Father Almighty, I pray right now for my fellow brother and prophet in the faith Peter Stone, that whatever his actual origin is, you will keep that information safe in Your hands, and that it be not revealed to anyone else unless they need to know about it for Your sake. I give you all the thanks and praise in Jesus' name. Amen."
"Amen," Peter and Wesley said together.

Their first class together in Defense Of The Dark Arts was an interesting one. Solomon Davidson looked like a prophet who took no nonsense from his students, wanting them to pay their utmost attention to what he was teaching.
"The world that we live in now is currently under the control of the Devil and his army of demons and spiritual soldiers, and though they don't have full control now because of the Restrainer of the mystery of lawlessness, there will come a time when that Restrainer will be removed, and evil shall have its full reign over the earth for seven years," the teacher said. "Can any of you tell me the four things that we wrestle with, according to the book of Ephesians?"
Ginger raised her hand and spoke. "It's with principalities, powers, rulers of darkness in this world, and evil spiritual forces in the heavenly realms."
"Exactly, my young lady, this is what we're fighting against, not against flesh and blood, but against all forms of spiritual wickedness that exist in this world," the teacher said. "Now I suppose that each of you have been given a very special gift from God that you can use against the forces of darkness so that you can overpower the enemy and deliver those who are held captive at his will. These gifts are not to be taken lightly; they are to be used for advancing the Kingdom of God in this world, so that all the world will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before the end comes."
Another lady, dressed in the stereotypical robes and clothes of a witch, appeared alongside the teacher. "This is my assistant Laurel Goodlove, a former practitioner of witchcraft and a graduate of the Luciferian Academy," Solomon said. "She has agreed to appear in my classes to help show the dangers of witchcraft and how we can best protect and defend ourselves against the dark arts. If you would please, Miss Goodlove?"
Laurel smiled as she addressed the class. "Prophets of the Most High God, you are about to see a demonstration of what the dark arts are all about. I have been long involved in witchcraft ever since I have been enrolled in the Morgenstern Academy, which I'm sure you know is actually called the Luciferian Academy. I sense in my spirit that someone among you has something to do with its headmaster, Lucien Morgenstern. He is such an evil character that a good deal of its students believe he is the son of the Devil, the future 'son of perdition' who will rise up and proclaim himself as God to the whole world, even to the point of desecrating the holy temple of God that will be erected in the last seven years before the Lord comes."
"First of all, you should know that not all kinds of supernatural power comes from God, who is the ultimate Creator of all things. The power of witchcraft comes from the power of rebellion against God's created order, that man is the ultimate judge of what's right and wrong, and that there is no such thing as good or evil. The Devil rebelled against God in the beginning, and thus has drawn a third of God's angels with him in his rebellion, seeking to pervert that created order for their own ends. God cast Satan and his angels down to earth, where he has been manipulating man against God and his created order even from having him eat from the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge. His fellow angels tried to contaminate the precious seed of men by marrying the daughters of men and producing a group of children called the Nephilim, who are the fathers of the various monster creatures that inhabit this earth."
"Secondly, just because Satan has power to bestow upon people does not mean that he is in any shape or form equal to or greater than God. I have casted spells on Christians that somehow didn't work because at the time I didn't realize that God's power is greater than that of the Devil. I was held captive by the power of darkness until the Lord revealed His one true Light, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, into my life. I began to see that the Devil is using that power to blind the minds of those who do not believe, so that the light of the gospel will never reach them in order to be saved. Some of you prophets have come from families that do not have believers in them, or even worse have families that are already dabbling in the dark arts. God is calling you out to be aware of these things so that you can rescue your family members from the Devi's trap."
"Thirdly, remember that the Devil himself uses light to deceive those who would otherwise not be drawn into darkness, so that the light that they receive will draw them into darkness. Paul the apostle wrote to the Corinthians, saying that Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, so his ministers will also disguise themselves as 'ministers of righteousness', whose end shall be according to their works. No matter how enticing Satan's power is, it will never draw people into knowing more about God, but rather will draw them into receiving a false light that mimics the Holy Spirit in every way except in exalting the Lord Jesus Christ. Consider this a warning to stay true to your calling as a prophet of the Lord so that you will not be drawn into receiving this false light of Satan."
"Thank you, Miss Goodlove," Solomon said with approval. "Now if you will watch, Laurel will attack me with one of her spells, which she will demonstrate for us, so that you can know how to best defend yourselves. But first, a word of prayer: Heavenly Father, Mighty King, Maker of Heaven and Earth, I thank You for the students that are gathered today to this display of power at the Defense Against The Dark Arts class. Open the minds of the students today that they will receive from You the knowledge and wisdom they are so diligently seeking after, and protect this class from every form of evil influence. May everything we do in this class today be done to glorify You. In Your only begotten Son Jesus' name, Amen."
"Amen," the rest of the students said in unison.

"Now watch what happens when I try to attack your teacher," Laurel said as she and Solomon stood at opposite ends of each other in the middle of the classrom, facing each other. She then said, "Expellere ventum", and a burst of wind came into the room and tried to knock down the teacher, but it merely passed by him and he continued to stand unfazed by the wind.
"You see, students?" the teacher said, sounding pleased. "You are safe from all physical attacks of the enemy, because the Lord said to His people Israel, that 'no weapon formed against you shall prosper.' Now see what happens when I use the power God has given me as a prophet to do the same to my opponent." He then turned to Laurel and said, "Fire, set her ablaze!"
Laurel let out a scream as she felt fire coursing through her entire body, as if she had been set on fire from within. It was an agonizing torment that lasted for less than a minute, and then she stopped screaming as she felt the torment go past her and she stood unharmed, her clothes looking intact and not smelling of smoke.
"Are you all right, Miss?" Solomon asked, sounding concerned.
"I'm fine, Mr. Davidson," Laurel replied, shrugging off the attack as if it was nothing more than just having a panic attack.
"Now I'm going to pair you each with a student that you're going to attack with your prophetic powers, and you're going to demonstrate how you handle your powers as well as the attacks of your fellow students," Solomon said. "Peter Stone, you're going to be paired with Malthorne Draconius, which I'm sure neither of you will mind."
"Figures that I would get you as my sparring partner, Peter," Malthorne spat coldly.
"The feeling is mutual, Malthorne," Peter said, matching his opponent's coldness with no emotion whatsoever.
"Okay, each of you stand apart from each other, and show what kind of attacks you will make against your opponent," Solomon said, watching as Peter and Malthorne stood apart from each other, readying themselves for a duel.
"May the best prophet win, Peter," Malthorne said, smiling.
"Lord, help me to focus on You and glorify You with my actions, in Your Son Jesus' name, Amen," Peter said, not responding to Malthorne.
The other students watched as Malthorne went first. "Fire, fall upon Peter Stone!"
And just like that, fire fell from the ceiling and pelted against Peter, who just stood there and took the attack as if it were nothing more than standing in the rain.
"Now it is my turn!" Peter said, smiling. "Wind, knock Malthorne on his butt!"
Suddenly a gust of wind blew into the classroom, so strong that it knocked Malthorne down to the ground hard.
"Very good, my young students, very good," Solomon said in approval. "Both of you will make great battle prophets for the time of the end that is coming. Everybody give these two students a hand!"
The students clapped as Peter took a bow and Malthorne just stood there, his face scowling. "Don't think that this is all over, Peter!" he snarled. "You and I are going to have a private little duel to see who's the better prophet."
"I'll be waiting," Peter shot back as the two students took their seats again.

"Peter, what are you doing, man?" Wesley asked as soon as the class had ended. "Why did you tell Malthorne that you'll be waiting for him?"
"Yeah, don't you know what kind of prophet Malthorne is?" Ginger asked, also sharing the same sentiment as Wesley.
"I'm not going to let Malthorne bully me or either of you just because he isn't the only first-year student that has the prophetic gift," Peter said.
"Malthorne's gonna take you up on that, bro," Wesley said. "He isn't playing for fun."
"You got to be careful who you're dealing with in this school and let God handle things that only He has the right and ability to handle," Ginger warned.
"God won't let Malthorne get that far, trust me," Peter said, sounding really confident.
Wesley sighed. "Okay, but I wouldn't want you to go down the same route as Malthorne if he doesn't shape up."
Just then, Wilford showed up. "Hey, Peter, you still want to be part of our Prophetic Gifts Club?" he asked.
"I've been wanting to talk to you about it, Wilford," Peter said. "I think that I would be willing to join your club, see what goes on in it to make sure."
"Believe me, everything that goes on in the club is godly," Wilford said. "We won't be doing nothing that will get us kicked out of this campus. I mean, where are we going to go, that Luciferian Academy? That place is for rich witches, and we want nothing to do with that kind of supernatural stuff."
"Mama's after your case about this afternoon club of yours, Wilford," Wesley said. "She wants to make sure you're not going to do anything stupid with the other students."
"You should know me by now, brother, unless of course you want me and Willis to keep pulling prophetic pranks on you," Wilford said.
"Oh no, you don't!" Wesley cried out. "I'm getting so tired of those pranks you two keep pulling on me!"
Wilford smiled. "Don't worry, we won't do the same to Peter. Anyway, our club meets at 5 pm Monday through Friday. Make sure you bring nothing but your faith and your courage. And of course, your Bible, because we're going to be teaching from it."
"I'll see you there, Wilford," Peter said, smiling. "Thanks."
After Wilford walked off, Ginger spoke to Wesley. "I never even heard of such a thing as prophetic pranks before."
"Believe me, Wilford and Willis are the masters when it comes to pulling those kind of pranks, sister," Wesley said. "They would make my stuff appear and disappear, they would switch up things on me just to see how I would react. These people are not people you would want to live with on a daily basis in a family of Jeremiahs."
Peter laughed. "I didn't think a family of Jeremiahs would be that mischievous around its own members."
"Well, I'm going to keep my eye on Wilford and Willis, see that they don't pull anything that ridiculous to try embarrassing me at this school," Wesley said. "If they get into trouble, Mama's going to really rain down fire and brimstone on them!"
"I wouldn't want to see any Jeremiah get that upset, like Elisha did with those young kids who were messing with him about his bald head," Ginger said.
"I'm sure that Wilford will keep his word and not try to embarrass me with one of his pranks," Peter said. "Come, let's go visit Brother Gabriel at the horse stables."

Brother Gabriel was busy grooming one of the school's horses, singing Psalm 23 to his own melody, when he was approached by Peter, Wesley, and Ginger. "Brother Gabriel!" the three children shouted.
Gabriel turned his attention and saw the children. "Peter, Wesley, and Ginger," he said, smiling. "What brings you to my stable today? Are you seeking a riding lesson to occupy your time before dinner?"
"Not at this time, Gabriel," Peter said. "We're actually here because of something I had realized of myself in a dream."
"I can sense what kind of dream you had...one where Lucien Morgenstern revealed that he was your father," Brother Gabriel said, putting his hand on Peter's shoulders.
"But how could you know that, Gabriel?" Ginger asked.
"The Lord reveals things to me, such as this child is not actually that of Thomas Stone, who was a fine student of this school, but of his wife Susan Fields and that dastardly Lucien Morgenstern, who had given Susan a child in a way that I don't think is appropriate for me to tell you at your tender age," Gabriel answered.
"But if Morgenstern is really my father, then why did he kill Thomas Stone, who adopted me as his own?" Peter asked.
"I honestly don't know the answer to that question, Peter," Gabriel replied. "You were spared by God for His purpose to be fulfilled in your life, so whatever Morgenstern tried to do to you back when you were a baby, it didn't work."
"But if it didn't work, then what's with Peter having dreams of Morgenstern talking to him?" Wesley asked.
"Peter is still Morgenstern's child, so he's in a perpetual battle between two fathers...his physical father, who wants him to act against God, and his spiritual Father, who is the Lord God Almighty," Gabriel answered.
"I can feel Morgenstern drawing me to himself," Peter said. "Whatever he did to my mother, she didn't deserve to die because she refused to give up her child to him."
"Well, your secret's safe with me and Jeremiah Xavier, who also knows of your actual parentage, Peter," Gabriel said. "We're going to help you stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, so that you will not be drawn into the darkness of your actual father. I suggest that you two who are his closest friends watch over him and pray for him, so that he will his eyes on the Lord and not on Morgenstern."
"We will do that, Brother Gabriel," Ginger said, with Wesley nodding in agreement.
"Now do either of you want to have a free riding lesson from your fellow Brother Gabriel?" he asked.
"I would love to have a riding lesson," Ginger answered, sounding eager.
"That would be pretty cool, to be able to ride a horse," Wesley said. "How about you, Peter?"
"Uh, you two can go on with that stuff," Peter said. "I'm going to join that Prophetic Gifts Club."
"Hey, that's your choice, man," Wesley said. "Just be careful."
"We're going to miss you being here with us to enjoy a perfect day away from school work, Peter," Ginger said, putting her hand on Peter's shoulder.
"Thanks, Ginger, I'll remember that," Peter said, smiling before he left the stable.

Peter went back inside the school building and went to the room where the Prophetic Gifts Club was being held, in the basement. There he saw students from various years attending the meeting.
"Hey, Peter, you made it," Wilford said, seeing Peter enter the room. "We're just getting ready for another meeting. Hope you'll stay after finding out what we're doing."
"I'll stay and see for myself, Wilford," Peter said as he took his seat among the other students.
And as soon as the students were settled down, the group leader, a sixth-year student named Dewey Causeway, stood up and spoke. "Fellow students, welcome to the Prophetic Gifts Club, where we will be practicing our prophetic gifts in a safe environment. Remember that when you're on the school grounds, nothing that we can do to each other will ever hurt us, because God will always have our back to protect us. However, that does not mean that we can tempt God in any way to protect us from things that we willfully do to each other, because God knows what is in our hearts, and He will repay us according to our deeds. I will allow each to you to stand up and tell us what prophetic gift you have been given so that we can know how to train you properly."
Peter watched as, one by one, each of the students stood up and introduced themselves and told what kind of prophetic gift they were given, and it amazed Peter to find out that each one of them had different sorts of gifts. Then came Peter's turn, and he told them that he had received the power over the elements and forces of nature. When everybody was finished with their introductions, Dewey returned to stand up and speak.
"As you all can see, we all have various prophetic gifts that have been given to us by God for the purpose of advancing the Lord's Kingdom here on earth. Here we will practice our gifts on one another so that we may be better able to confront those with supernatural abilities that are not from God, such as the students from Luciferian Academy. I'm sure we have met them on various occasions, these wizards and witches who use their powers and abilities to persecute the body of Christ and to hinder the gospel message so that it will not be preached to all the nations and to all the people. However, our real enemy is not them, but the one who holds them captive to his will -- Satan himself."
"Our job and duty as prophets of the Lord is to help exhort and encourage the body of Christ, to get people to be aware that there is a God who will judge us for all that we have done, yet has loved us to give us His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that when you leave this school, you will leave armed and prepared to deal with Satan and all his demonic forces as we preach the message of salvation to all. Make no mistake, this will be a hard and lonely task, as we will have to deal with things that will try our faith, both from within and without. But remember that no matter where you are in this world, the Lord will be with you as your shield and protection."
"We'll start with our latest newcomer to the group, Peter Stone. If you would, we would like to see a demonstration of your prophetic gift."
Peter stood up as everybody cheered and watched him stand in the center of the room, gathering everybody's attention towards him. He quietly prayed, "O Lord God, may my actions in this club be done to glorify You, in Your Son Jesus' name, Amen." And then he said, "Earth, open up a hole in the floor!"
And just like that, the students watched as a hole formed in the stone floor that was wide enough to swallow a few people in if they wandered too close to the hole.
"Earth, close up and reseal the hole," Peter commanded. And just like that, the hole in the floor closed itself back up and sealed itself until there was no evidence of any hole in the floor.
"Fire, fall down from the ceiling," Peter commanded. And in that instant, the students recoiled as they saw fire fall down from the ceiling within a certain diameter in the middle of the floor. The crowd gasped, wondering what they're going to see next.
"Water, fall down and put out the flames," Peter commanded. And in that instant, water rained down within that same diameter and put out all the flames, until there was no trace of any fire anywhere. The crowd clapped and cheered as they watched.
"And now for my final demonstration...wind, blow through this room!" Peter commanded. And suddenly, a gust of wind blew through that room, blowing everybody off their chairs and onto the floor, scattering books and papers everywhere.
"Peace, be still," Peter commanded. And then all was still again in the room. The students gave Peter applause for his display.
"Well done, Peter, well done!" Dewey said in appreciation as Peter left the floor and took his seat again. He stood in the center of the floor again. "As soon as we're done demonstrating our prophetic powers, we will be teaming each of you with a partner you will be training with."
Peter watched as each of the students stood up and demonstrated their prophetic gifts. Some could command electricity, some could call down rainstorms, some could call down fire, some could cause the earth to rumble, and some could cause winds to blow through the room. There were very few like Peter that could command all the elements of nature. Peter was fascinated by the variety of gifts the students have displayed, some being first-years like himself.
A young lady of thirteen sat down next to Peter. "I liked the way you and your two friends took down the Leviathan the other day," she said with interest. "I think you'll make an excellent prophet when you graduate."
"Some people think we'll never reach graduation, the way things are going on in the world," Peter said. "By the way, who are you?"
"Oh, I'm Margaret Muldoon, but you can call me Maggie," the girl said. "I was born with a prophetic gift ever since I was living with my parents, who are both nonbelievers. I pray for them to come to know the Lord before they die or He comes."
"Do you believe that the Lord is coming soon for His own, Maggie?" Peter asked.
"I could sense that the Lord is just waiting for the right moment to call His bride home, Peter," Maggie answered. "Whether we'll be with Him before the Tribulation happens or at the end, or whenever, we should be prepared for what's coming."
"Do you think that Lucien Morgenstern might become the Antichrist?" Peter asked.
"Me and my friends speculate that he's going to be the one who will defile the Jewish Temple and delcare himself to be God, but otherwise that's something the Lord hasn't revealed to me or anyone else yet," Maggie answered. "Guess we won't know until it's time for him to be revealed."
"Well, don't prophets have the ability to see into the future or something?" Peter asked.
"I don't think it works that way, Peter," Maggie answered. "The Lord reveals to us things that we need to know, and He may show us things to come, but mostly through symbols and pictures and metaphors, like with John the apostle in the book of Revelation. By the way, why are you so interested in Lucien Morgenstern? Is there something about you two that you don't want to talk about?"
Peter sighed. "It's something that's between me and God. I'm not sure I want the whole school to know."
Maggie smiled as she stroked Peter's hair with her hand. "Then I will not ask you to reveal anything to me, that's my promise. Can I pray for you and your situation?" Peter nodded, and Maggie continued: "Lord God, Almighty Father, I thank You for my new friend Peter. I pray that You comfort his heart concerning things about himself and Lucien Morgenstern that he doesn't want anyone else to know about. Give him Your peace, comfort, and healing from the top of his head to the soles of his feet. I give you thanks in Your Son Jesus' name. Amen."
"Amen," Peter said, smiling afterward.

Meanwhile, Wesley and Ginger were having fun riding on horses as they were being watched over by Brother Gabriel, to make sure that they stay within the fenced-in area near the stable so that the horses don't run off with the children still being on them.
"Boy, I feel like I was meant to ride a horse!" Wesley said as he guided his horse to ride alongside Ginger's. "How about you?"
"I can only imagine what it would feel like to ride alongside Jesus when He comes down at the end of the Tribulation to deal with the armies of the world that will gather against Him," Ginger said.
"That's what's going to happen, sister, at least according to my mom," Wesley said. "Everyone's got their own interpretations of how the end is going to take place according to their understanding of Scripture."
"I don't understand why people would think everything that is told in Revelation would have already taken place in the generation of Jesus' first coming," Ginger said.
"Not everybody interprets Revelation to be some future event that's yet to take place," Wesley said. "I wouldn't want to be in the place where I'm proven wrong for how I believe Revelation is going to play out."
"But Jeremiah Xavier must know, if he's really John the Apostle who's lived all those years since Jesus first came," Ginger said.
"I'm sure we'll find out, but for now we've got a church service that we got to attend on Saturday, which is where we're going to hear the Headmaster preach," Wesley said. "Have you ever been to a church service before?"
"I think it was at a funeral for my dear grandmother who passed away, Wesley," Ginger said. "I didn't understand all what the adults did in the church, but I felt that it was a very holy and sacred place. I kept myself quiet the entire time I was in there."
"Mama took us all to church, a local Pentecostal assembly," Wesley said. "Nice pastor, full of the Holy Spirit and all, but not somebody who was called as a Jeremiah. He would try to love on us and accept us as we are, though I'm sensing he must be jealous of my whole family."
"I'm surprised that I was even chosen to be a Jeremiah from the family I was born in," Ginger said. "I would have loved to try out your church, if they still accept Jeremiahs as part of it."
"I'll tell my mama about it, see what she has to say, Ginger," Wesley said as he and Ginger brought their horses to a stop. They found themselves near a tree that was filled with luscious red apples. "Hey, let's pick some and have a snack before dinner."
"Hey, don't forget to feed us!" one of the horses said.
"Yeah, we deserve a treat for carrying you on our backs," the other horse said.
Ginger looked at the horses, surprised to hear them speak. "I can't believe it...we have horses in this school that can speak?" she said.
"This school's got weird stuff in it, Ginger," Wesley said. "Even I can't believe it, now that I've seen it for myself!"
"We can only speak to those whom God has given the prophetic gift, young ones," the gray horse said. "My name is Comet, and the other is named Cupid. Those are the names Brother Gabriel has given us."
"How long have you been a part of this school, if I may ask?" Ginger asked.
"Oh, we've been here since we were born," the brown horse named Cupid answered. "We come from a long line of horses that have been bred and raised here ever since the school was created."
"We've seen a lot of students come and go through the school," Comet said. "A good deal of them turn out to be decent human beings, but there are those who use their prophetic gifts for personal gain and trouble."
"That doesn't make sense, that there will be prophets going through this school that will turn bad," Ginger said.
"Even God can regret giving those gifts, like He regretted having Saul the son of Kish be anointed as king, child," Cupid said.
"Now I'm even more amazed, that you horses know things in Scripture," Wesley said, scratching his head.
"We've been at this school long enough to know everything God has revealed to us, which makes us fortunate," Comet said. "It's not like this everywhere in the animal kingdom, where God gives wisdom to even the lowliest and the small."
"But Jesus says that not even a sparrow can fall to the ground without God the Father knowing about it," Cupid said.
"I wish I could spend my summers here at the school when the term ends," Ginger said, plucking an apple from the tree and feeding it to one of the horses. "It would be a great place for an escape of having to live with my parents in the big city."
"Me too, Ginger, me too," Wesley said, also plucking an apple and giving it to the other horse. They both watched as the two horses ate up the apples from their hands. "I'm sure my family will have a good vacation planned for when we go back to the city."
"What does your father do?" Ginger asked.
"He works in an office building, managing a big company's finances and counseling them on what they should do with their money," Wesley answered. "He hardly gets any complaints except for when they try to cut corners on things."
"He must be really valuable if he earns a lot to support your family, Wesley," Ginger said.
"We were never in want of anything, thanks to the Lord our God watching over us, Ginger," Wesley said. "Let's bring the horses back to the stable so we can get ourselves ready for dinner and meeting up with Peter."
"I just pray that Peter would be careful with that Prophetic Gifts Club," Ginger said as she and Wesley guided their horses by the reins and walked them back to the stable together.
"Ah, children, you had your fill of riding horses today?" Gabriel greeted as he saw the two children bring their horses back.
"It was fun, and I'm sure to want to come and ride with the horses again another afternoon," Ginger said, handing the reins of her horse over to Gabriel.
"We're going to meet with Peter before dinner, Gabriel," Wesley said as he stabled his horse. "Thanks for the riding lesson."
"Aye, you're welcome at the stable anytime you want, long as it isn't during school hours," Gabriel said, smiling as he stabled Ginger's horse.

Wesley and Ginger got back inside the school in time for dinner. They sat at their house's table when they saw Peter coming and sitting down with them. They all said grace as the angels put their plates on the tables and served the evening meal.
"Peter, man, how's the Prophetic Gifts Club?" Wesley asked as he started eating.
"It was great," Peter answered. "I was paired with a third-year student named Maggie. Her prophetic powers are more water-based. But we had a good match with each other."
"Are there any rules to these matches, Peter?" Ginger asked.
"Well, we were to fight each other until we can no longer use our prophetic powers, at which point we end up yielding to each other to signal the end of the match," Peter answered.
"Why just a limit on how many times you can use your prophetic powers?" Ginger asked.
Peter shrugged. "I don't know. Probably to humble us and make us more dependent on God to stop the match, I guess?"
"You didn't happen to see Malthorne in this club, Peter, or have you?" Wesley asked.
"Fortunately no," Peter answered. "I guess he just wants to toss fire at people when he feels they deserve it, not because he wants to be in a tournament or something."
"I'm not comfortable with the idea of our prophetic gifts being used for other people's entertainment, Peter," Ginger said.
"Yeah, if people start seeing prophets fighting with each other, they'd think there's something wrong with us, like we can't handle our own kind," Wesley said.
"But it's not prophets we're fighting with, it's those who are being bound by demonic spirits," Peter said.
"I'm still not going to be part of this Prophetic Gifts Club, no matter how appealing and noble it may seem," Ginger said.
"Me neither," Wesley said.
Peter sighed as he dug into his food and ate with reckless abandon. He felt as if he was going to be alone with anything that has to do with the Prophetic Gifts Club. He didn't even want to think of having to face Malthorne again if there was a chance.
Just then a reporter on the Prophetic Word Network came on the screen. There was a report that two old men dressed in sackcloth robes, named Eli and Moishe, were standing at the Wailing Wall and calling themselves the Two Witnesses of God. They were called to prophesy for 1260 days when the Tribulation starts, and will cause water to turn into blood and cause all sorts of plagues to come down on the people. They said that they will personally call the 144,000 of the twelve tribes of Israel together for the sole purpose of evangelizing to the world during the Tribulation, and will give them power to overcome all the plots and ploys of the enemy to destroy them. The students watched as the Two Witnesses showed various signs and wonders that amazed the people who were watching them.
"Looks like the end of things is going to come sooner than we expected," Wesley said as he watched the news.
"You mean we're getting that close to the Lord's coming, just in our first year at this school alone?" Peter asked.
"Jesus said when you see these things happening, look up because your redemption draws nigh, bro," Wesley answered.
"That's a shame, because I'm really looking forward to spending a year here at this school, but at the same time, I'd be happy to be with the Lord when the Rapture happens," Ginger said.
"You think everybody here is going to be called up when the Lord appears in the sky for us?" Peter asked.
"I'm not sure about Malthorne and his cronies, though," Wesley said.
"Yeah, part of me wouldn't miss them if they didn't go up with us to be with the Lord forever," Ginger said.
"But the Eschatology teacher said the seven years of Tribulation will be so bad that, if those days weren't cut short, nobody is going to survive, so why would we want Malthorne and his goons to suffer through it?" Peter said.
"You want Malthorne to be with you up in Heaven, you'd better start praying for him," Wesley said.
"But at least we know who the Two Witnesses are going to be, so all we need to know is who the Antichrist is going to be," Ginger said.
"I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually Lucien Morgenstern," Peter said. "But if it was him, who's going to run his school of wizards and witches once he takes over?"
"I ain't going to worry about that, Peter," Wesley said. "I just want to be prepared if we have to fight his little soldiers of darkness."
"It's a good thing we have a graduate from the Luciferian Academy who turned to the Lord and became a believer and a teacher at this school," Ginger said. "At least we'll know how to fight the forces of darkness in this world."
"That lady is sweet and all, but she sure gives me the creeps," Wesley said.

During their homework time in the house commons, an angel came into the room. "This is a reminder, that church service will be held at 9 am tomorrow. Attendance is mandatory for all students. Have yourselves a pleasant night's sleep in the Lord," the angel said.
"I'd be curious to know what a church service would be like here," Peter said.
"From what I heard from my older brothers, we all get dressed up and head into the sanctuary, where we sing some worship songs before Jeremiah Xavier breaks out with the week's sermon," Wesley said.
"So what are the worship songs like at this school?" Ginger asked.
"Just the classic hymns, none of that fancy stuff they play at the Pentecostal churches," Wesley answered. "Everything around here is centered around the blood of Jesus, though."
"You mean this church actually worships blood like it's a magical thing?" Peter asked.
"Mama would find that rather insulting if you heard you say it like that, bro," Wesley answered. "We believe that there is power in the blood of Jesus to cleanse people of their sins and to make them right before God. We just don't do it to the point where we think that there's actually any supernatural power in the blood of Jesus to use on things like cars and houses and such."
"But if that's the case, then why all the focus on Jesus' blood in the music?" Peter asked.
"Because, man, it's His blood that saves us from the penalty of death, which is eternal separation from God," Wesley answered. "He died a death that we deserve in order to give us something we don't deserve -- which is forgiveness and eternal life."
"I hear some people 'plead the blood' here in their prayers, it just sounds creepy," Ginger said, making a face.
"Don't let their weirdness creep you out, sister," Wesley said. "They're just doing what they see their parents do in the congregations they attended before they became Jeremiahs. The Lord will get them to pray properly and sincerely."
"I do rather miss the kind of life I thought I would have before I became a Jeremiah," Peter said, sighing. "Even though Aunt Dottie and Uncle Harry weren't the best parents to me, I feel like I would be lost without them in my life. Heck, I even miss Donald harassing me back home."
"You're blessed to not have been born a witch or a wizard," Wesley said. "Mama had to put up with a group of people living right next door to us who would have all sorts of weird rituals happening right in front of us, like that's a normal thing. She found out that these were graduates of the Luciferian Academy, and picked living right next door to us on purpose just so they could hinder our walk in the Lord."
"I wouldn't think that these witches and wizards would be living right next door to Jeremiahs with the purpose of causing conflict and confusion," Ginger said.
"This world just isn't safe for Jeremiahs to be in, as it's all sliding down the slippery slope to Armageddon," Wesley said. "And these witches and wizards think their side is going to win in the end. They're deceived; Satan knows that he's defeated, but he isn't going to go down that easily."
"I think we should pray for those people who are born wizards and witches, that they will come to know Jesus Christ," Peter suggested.
Wesley nodded, and Ginger smiled at Peter. "Anyway, I can't wait to be at tomorrow's church service, to find out what kind of message the Headmaster is going to preach to us," Ginger said as she closed her books while Peter and Wesley did the same.
Wesley yawned. "I hope we all get a good night's sleep, it's been a real busy day for us."
"I'll see you two in the morning," Ginger said, picking up her books and putting them in her bag before carrying them into the girls' section.
Peter watched as Ginger departed from the commons. "I'd sure like to know as much about the Bible as you two do," Peter said.
"You'll get there, if you keep reading it daily," Wesley said, picking up his books while Peter did the same. "Let's pray and thank God for getting us through another day at the school."
"Hopefully I won't have anymore prophetic dreams tonight, but who knows?" Peter said, as he and Wesley headed for the boys' section together.

That night, Peter slept peacefully, not being awakened by a dream all through the night. He kept reciting Psalm 23 over and over until it was the only thing he could see in his mind: the whole psalm being visualized in the theater of his mind. He saw the Lord appear to him as shepherd, with His rod and His staff guiding the sheep that were in His fold, making them to lie down in green pastures, leading them by the still waters, restoring their souls and leading them in paths of righteousness for His name's sake. He felt as if he was safe in God's arms, resting peacefully without a care in the world, his head leaning on the Lord's chest, listening to His heartbeat.
Meanwhile, at Luciferian Academy, Arthur, Rudy, and Artemis had a sleepless night together. They sat together in the commons of one of their academy's student houses, looking at the flame and sulking among themselves.
"Here we are, among the most powerful of the first-year students at Morgenstern Academy, and yet we can't defeat the prophets of that accursed Jeremiah School," Arthur said.
"Hey, man, don't sweat it!" Rudy said, trying to sound encouraging. "It's not that we're going to get expelled for being failures yet. We still got the rest of the year to plot something against those Jeremiahs."
"I'm sure there's something in the books in our library that will help us conjure more powerful enemies that we can send their way," Artemis said.
"How can you two be so confident when Morgenstern's got our scholarship on a leash?" Arthur asked. "My parents paid a fortune and their lives to get me into this school so I can be a powerful wizard."
"I don't think Morgenstern would jepoardize our futures on a few mistakes we have made, being first-years," Rudy answered.
"Well, my parents are going to be so mad that they wasted money on me going to this school, even if there aren't any other schools for wizards and witches to attend right here in America," Artemis said.
"At least the President is on our side now, so that counts as something for the people who want to overthrow God and His archaic rules," Rudy said.
"Morgenstern and the President in league with each other," Arthur said. "I never thought that would happen in our lifetime. That means that Armageddon is much closer than we think."
"Me, I can't wait for the day when I'd be fighting against the Christians and the Jews being on the land that doesn't belong to them," Artemis said, sounding anxious.
"Yeah, it was the Canaanites, and they overtook it," Rudy said. "Then it became the Palestinians, and they overtook it again. But we're not going to let them have everything God has promised them."
"We just need to get those Christians, those Jeremiahs, out of the way," Arthur said. "Then the world will belong to us, and we can do everything we want to in it. We can expel those Jews from the land and drive them into the sea."
"Well, I'm going to study until I can come up with a better plan to deal with Peter Stone and his friends," Artemis said, yawning and stretching as she got up from her chair and went to the girls' section. "Have a good night, guys. I'll see you in the morning."
"You have a peaceful rest," Rudy said as he and Arthur both watched Artemis depart from the room. They then turned to each other and continued the conversation.
"What are we going to do to take down this Peter Stone that our headmaster hates so much?" Rudy asked, keeping his voice low so the others wouldn't overhear.
"There must be something in the Word of God that we can use against them, to make them seem no better than us," Arthur answered, also keeping his voice low. "It's a good thing that we have Bible reading as part of our cirriculum here."
"You think that the only way to beat our enemy is to join them?" Rudy asked.
"I don't want to join them...I just want to outsmart them and make them have doubts about what they believe," Arthur answered.
"Oh, man, you're coming up with some serious sorcery right there, using God's own Word against Him," Rudy said.
"Fight fire with fire, bro," Arthur said, smiling as he whacked Rudy's head with a Bible, which also caused Rudy to whack Arthur back with a book. They both laughed as they attacked each other.

The next morning, the students were dressed in their best because they had church service that morning. Peter, Wesley, and Ginger brought their Bibles with them to breakfast, where they ate and discussed personal things with each other.
"So anymore disturbing dreams with you and Morgenstern being in them, Peter?" Wesley asked.
"I actually had a peaceful sleep last night," Peter answered. "I haven't heard from the Lord either, so both of them are silent for now."
"Maybe He's saving His message for us until the Headmaster's sermon today," Ginger said.
"Yeah, that will be a real treat, hearing a sermon from someone who's most likely been there with the Lord during His first coming," Wesley said.
"If the Headmaster's been there on the isle of Patmos listening to the Lord giving him the Revelation, it should be interesting to hear what he has to say," Ginger said.
"So the Headmaster won't see death before he sees the Lord come into His Kingdom," Peter said. "I don't know how that's going to be possible. Guess I don't see things as the Lord sees them."
"We're only getting the bits and pieces, bro," Wesley said. "We're not going to see the whole picture unfold until the Lord Himself comes for us, whenever that may take place."
"I could only wonder what the Luciferian Academy students are doing right now, whether they are preparing for something like our church service to happen in their school," Ginger said.
"Frankly, I don't care what goes on at the Luciferian Academy, it's still evil, and it has no business being in existence to hassle us and steal people away from the Lord," Wesley said.
"I'm not going to let Morgenstern dictate what he wants of my life, even if I am his actual son," Peter said.
"We're going to make sure you don't fall for Morgenstern's schemes, Peter," Ginger said.
"Yeah, we're your friends and partners, and we're going to stick together like paper and glue," Wesley said.
Just then, Malthorne, Blaynes, and Murrayne approached them. "You three think you're the hottest new prophets God has put into this school, don't you?" Malthorne said in a sneering tone. "You haven't seen the real depth of my prophetic power!"
"You're a real embarrassment to God, Malthorne," Peter said. "Here you are, puffing up yourself like you're the true anointed one around here and everyone has to listen to you."
"And what's Ginger going to do with her prophetic powers -- save the world like she's Greta Thunberg?" Malthorne said, sounding offended at the thought.
"As a matter of fact, I might as well do that, because Scripture says God will destroy those who destroy the earth in the book of Revelation," Ginger said.
"And what about you, Ronell?" Malthorne said, turning his attention to Wesley. "I know what kind of family you came from. They're not even worthy to be called prophets in God's eyes."
"They're more humble than you're sounding right now, Malthorne," Wesley said. "And I wouldn't want to mess with any of my family members if I were you. Remember, 'touch not My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm!'"
"You're only lucky that you're on school grounds, because if I have met you elsewhere in the world, I wouldn't cease to torment you with my powers," Malthorne said. "So be ready, because I'm going to challenge you three to a duel between yourselves and me and my friends."
"Only if you don't try to play dirty, Malthorne," Peter said. "We'll see what the Headmaster says about us having a duel with each other."
"You're going to regret ever crossing my path, Peter Stone!" Malthorne said, giving Peter a fierce look before moving on with Blaynes and Murrayne.
"I don't know if the Headmaster would approve of a duel between prophets, Peter," Ginger said, sounding disapproving.
"Yeah, Malthorne is just looking for a way to get us expelled from the school so he can do his own thing here," Wesley said.
"I won't run from a bully like Malthorne!" Peter said. "He wants to challenge us, he's going to be the one who regrets it!"
"Better pray that the Lord gets a hold of Malthorne before either of us does something stupid around here," Ginger said.
"You said it, sister," Wesley said. The three bowed their heads as Wesley lead the prayer: "O Lord God, the Father Almighty, I pray that You get a hold of Malthorne's heart and that You would humble him and make him see that what he's doing isn't glorifying You in the slightest. I pray that You would open up our eyes and ears to see and hear what Your servant has to say to us this morning as he preaches from Your eternal Word. In Your Son Jesus' name, I pray. Amen."
"Amen," Peter and Ginger said together.
