Sound of Freedom is a new movie that will be in wide-release on July 4th.
"After rescuing a young boy from ruthless child traffickers, a federal agent learns the boy’s sister is still captive and decides to embark on a dangerous mission to save her. Stars Jim Caviezel with Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino."
War, instability and conflict make women and children the most vulnerable to trafficking - including those in countries like Ecuador, Mexico, and Ukraine.
The kidnapping and sexual exploitation of children is fueled by an ever-growing U.S. customer base.
$150 billion a year are made off the backs of men, women, and children as slaves. Some 27 million people around the world live in slavery, with 6 million of those being children.
Around 2 million of those children are specifically designated for the commercial abuse trade. The United States is the number three destination country for human trafficking, number one in the consumption of child abuse videos, and is approaching number one in production of child exploitation material.
