I'm looking for to this year's Smurf Emancipation Day. Hopefully, I can review Empath this time! So, yeah... this year I am looking forward to:
The IDW Sonic comics
My anniversary vlog (hopefully)
Joining 2.0 of the Guardian Initiative
And now... the 60th anniversary of the Smurfs. Glad you started the topic early. What are your plans for it or the New Year in general?

Here's a video I've just found concerning the Smurfs 60th anniversary:
The Smurfs 60th Anniversary Immersive Traveling Exhibition
Very interesting celebration proposal; still, I imagined if there would be the launch of a new figurine set specially for the occasion. Who knows? ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Whoa, 60 years. Here I started really getting into Smurfs after seeing Smurfs: The Lost Village. Didn't really see the live action stuff until afterwards. I think I may have rented Smurfs 1, but can't remember well.
I do remember seeing Smurfs on Cartoon Network a few times, but at the time I didn't watch it regularly as it came on when I was in school. If anything, I did watch Snorks as that was on before I left for school (awaits stares for being the only Snorks fan on Blue Buddies. XD Seriously, I like both shows)
After seeing Lost Village, I then started seeing, appreciating, and loving the Smurfs. I got whatever Smurfs DVDs I could find, and even checked out two of the graphic novels.
Enough looking back at the past year and some memories of the past. I'm excited to see what they're going to do for the 60th anniversary.
Squeaky, that exhibition sounds way too cool! ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

That's really neat! Can't wait for it to start! Seeing it's a travelling exhibit, I hope it comes to New Zealand that way I don't have to travel far!

Really? Vic George included a Snork in his Empath stories.

Cool. Honestly, I wouldn't have known that. I still feel fairly new here. Apologies if I didn't know that.

Since everyone is talking about the upcoming 60th anniversary of the beloved blue characters, I've traditionally drawn and colored a piece of fanart to celebrate said event.
Happy early 60th, Smurfs!

Have you guys get email from the smurf. In brussel they will have celebrate big anniversarry with exhibition an other thing. Check this website.

Visit the magic world of the Smurfs
Have a Smurf adventure by becoming a little blue character yourself in an area that extends over 1,500 square meters.
An adventure where you are the hero
The Smurf Experience is a story you feel, see and hear. The scenery is larger than life and will make you feel smaller and smaller until you reach the height of a Smurf, “three apples high”.
As soon as you arrive in the village, you are welcomed by real Smurfs, presented as puppets and holograms. Your own transformation is complete once you taste Papa Smurf’s magic potion.
But the wizard, Gargamel, is creating an evil machine that is threatening the magic world of the Smurfs. It’s time to go on an adventure and help the Smurfs bring peace and quiet back to their village!
Breathtaking technologies
Cross a waterfall using video mapping, escape from the cage where Gargamel has imprisoned you, find all the parts of the evil machine and hitch a ride on the stork’s back for an unforgettable virtual reality experience.
Promote sustainable development
The Smurf Experience is also a commitment to promoting sustainable development. Just like the Smurfs, find out about the 17 objectives for sustainable development, as defined by the United Nations Organisation, by identifying the 17 matching objects to be found along the way.
The Smurf Experience is more than an hour’s adventure to share with family or friends!
