Looks like a good start, although you'll never know that it'll may be a successful at the box-office like the first film or not.

I don't have kids and you don't have to persuade me to enjoying the movie, like i said i'm looking forward to have fun as a kid. I don't think i have to keep posting my comment to the brick wall again...you have to know that I'm just showed you another part of reality.

THE SMURFS 2: Deep blue (over)seas: Sequel is neck and neck with Pacific Rim for top global spot
THE DEBUT OF "The Smurfs 2" may have disappointed domestically, but the CGI-happy sequel isn't singing the blues globally.
Sony's follow-up to its 2011 hit grossed almost twice as much on foreign shores ($52.5-million) as in North America ($27.76-million) over its first five days.
That worldwide tally has "Smurfs 2" running neck and neck with "Pacific Rim" ($53-million) for the weekend's top spot, according to studio estimates released Sunday; Monday's scheduled final numbers will officially determine the winner.
The global-market gross helped "Smurfs 2" counter its underperformance on domestic turf. The live-action/CGI-animation film grossed only $18.2-million in the United States and Canada during the weekend, getting easily outdistanced by the debut of Universal's Denzel Washington/Mark Wahlberg film "2 Guns" ($27.36-million) and the second week of Fox's "The Wolverine" ($21.72-million).
The domestic take of "Smurfs 2's" opening weekend, in fact, was barely half that of the franchise's first film ($35.61-million) — which doesn't bode particularly well at home for the third "Smurfs" film, which is slated for a 2015 release.
Fortunately for the franchise, the rest of the world is receptive.
"It is one of those films that seems to resonate on every continent," said Rory Bruer, Sony's worldwide distribution president, according to the Associated Press. "We have about 36 big territories to go, including China.
"They love the blue ones."
BLUE CLUES: Vanity (voiced by John Oliver), Grouchy (George Lopez), Clumsy (Anton Yelchin) and Papa Smurf (Jonathan Winters) find that everything’s coming up roses overseas.
FUN WITH NUMBERS:
* The first "Smurfs" film is still Sony's best domestic performer ever ($142.6-million) among films starring CGI characters.
* Among the summer's five big animated and CGI-character family films so far, "Smurfs 2" had the lowest domestic opening — trailing not only the powerhouse sequels "Despicable Me 2" ($83.5-million domestic debut) and "Monsters University" ($82.4-million), but also Fox's twin lower performers, "Epic" ($33.5-million) and "Turbo" ($21.3-million).
* Domestically, the "Smurfs" sequel still opened better than either film in Sony's former CGI-star franchise: Stuart Little. (That first film, in 1999, had a $15-million debut, nearly identical to "Stuart Little 2's" $15.1-million.)
* Director Raja Gosnell is plenty familiar with big dropoffs involving CGI-star franchises: His first Scooby-Doo film grossed $153.3-million domestically; his "Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" follow-up in 2004 grossed just $84.2-million.
* "The Wolverine" ($95-million) is now among the top 50 comic-book adaptations ever in terms of domestic gross, according to BoxOfficeMojo.com Also from this year, "Man of Steel" ($287.2-million) is now 10th on that list, and "Iron Man 3" ($407.4-million) is fourth — trailing only the "Dark Knight" films and "The Avengers."
THE WEEKEND'S DOMESTIC TOP-10:
1. "2 Guns,"$27.4 million.
2. "The Wolverine," $21.7 million.
3. "The Smurfs 2," $18.2 million.
4. "The Conjuring," $13.7 million.
5. "Despicable Me 2," $10.4 million.
6. "Grown Ups 2," $8.1 million.
7. "Turbo," $6.4 million.
8. "Red 2," $5.6 million.
9. "The Heat," $4.7 million.
10. "Pacific Rim," $4.6 million.

'The Smurfs 2' beats 'The Heat' at UK box office - top 10 in full
Family sequel holds off The Heat and The Conjuring to lead UK cinema charts.
By Simon Reynolds
PUBLISHED: 07 AUGUST 2013
The Smurfs 2 has topped the UK box office on its first weekend on release.
The family comedy earned £3.2 million to hold off competition from other new releases The Heat and The Conjuring to secure the top spot.
The sequel's total falls just short of the £3.7 million opening of its predecessor, which debuted in second place behind Rise of the Planet of the Apes in 2011.
The Wolverine, last week's number one movie, saw a 62% drop in ticket sales to take fourth place, while Monsters University rounded out the top five.
Elsewhere, the top 10 sees new releases from the Bruce Willis-led action sequel RED 2 and Ryan Gosling and Nicolas Winding Refn's Only God Forgives at numbers seven and nine respectively.
The UK box office top 10 in full:
1. (-) The Smurfs 2 - £3,220,911 2. (-) The Heat - £2,500,522 3. (-) The Conjuring - £2,156,124 4. (1) The Wolverine - £1,800,640 5. (2) Monsters University - £1,753,216 6. (3) Despicable Me 2 - £1,289,450 7. (-) RED 2 - £1,023,349 8. (4) The World's End - £681,301 9. (-) Only God Forgives - £465,917 10. (5) Now You See Me - £436,597

The Smurfs 2 is #1 at the box office here in the UK! Earned £3.2 million in its first week. I also went to see it for a second time today, this time in 3D. Didn't think the 3D was anything special, but I found the film just as enjoyable as the first time and was able to stay right until the end for the extra scene after the credits have finished rolling.

That's right, SmurfFan! I heard of it in the papers so that I realized to stay until the credits finished - over 10 minutes, I suppose! Do you believe I was alone in the room for everyone had already left? The employees saw twice if the room was empty and found me waiting for the scene... By the way: it was a scene featuring Gargamel and Azrael. ![[Azrael]](graemlins/azrael.gif)

At Cinépolis Network movie theaters in Brazil:

"YOU CANNOT MISS THIS SMURFSPROMOTION!"
"Buying 1 cinebox (popcorn + a small soft drink) take home 1 movie special present."
A promotion of other network, UCI:

"BUY THE COMBO THAT COMES WITH A MOVIE CUP NOW"

Just thinking of Smurfette pulling a Princess Vespa routine on Gargamel for cutting her hair. "My hair...you cut my hair!" Gets the Dragon Wand and zaps him.
