In the EMPATH: The Luckiest Smurf story series, Sweepy is close friends with Tapper and Barber, and eventually through Tapper's witnessing of his faith, he and Barber became Christians.

It's good to have you back, Vic George! Is that fanfiction what this picture is from? And who is Barber? Does he actually cut the smurfs' hair? (The smurfs don't have very much hair.)

Barber showed up in only two of the Smurfs cartoon show episodes, "Symbols Of Wisdom" and "Smurfette's Golden Tresses". I made him become part of the Empath universe to get more mileage out of the character since he only existed as a character with a very limited occupational role.

Ah yes. Sweepy Smurf. My main favorite Smurf. Love this character. Thanks for all the love for this one off character. He needs more recognition and support than just one episode. Thank you to all those who has made fan art of him. He lives on past the episode through them.

Hi, Shaney Smurf! Yes, Sweepy Smurf doesn't get enough recognition. After all, it is said in the Disney movie Mary Poppins that shaking a chimneysweep's hand is lucky.
