Hi, all. I'm new here. I am desperately wanting all episodes of The Smurfs in a DVD box set. Unfortunately, I'm still waiting!
I found this petition online and would like to ask all of you to sign it, if you would be so kind.
Thanks! You're the smurfiest!

The DVD is reputed to be in the works for later this year. Whether it will be a box set remains to be seen.
And incidentally Hanna Barbera no longer exists. Their entire library is owned by Turner Broadcasting and Warner Brothers.

Where did you get this information and do you know if it will be a global release?

Their cartoon properties are currently divided between Cartoon Network Studios and Warner Bros. (the latter being the case for shows like Scooby-Doo and the Flintstones). I think the Smurf cartoon show would be owned by Warner Bros.

The former I found out through a DVD forum and Mushroomvillage.com.
Globally is something I don't know about. But I do hope they have a French/Spanish and English versions all on the same discs.
And I hope it's packed with extras including...
The origins of The Smurfs and its creator. Interviews with some of the voice actors. A very special tribute to Don Messick who did the voice of Papa Smurf in addition to many many others.Don passed away a few years ago. ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

Yes, all those bonuses are exactly the types of things all us Smurfs fans would want. Hopefully the creators of the DVD look out for what the consumers want.
