Here's an interesting question...

I'm sure most of us know about Hefty's Tattoo, a red heart with a arrow peircing through it.

But the question is, which arm is it suppose to be on? The right or left? Or is it suppose to be on both arms?

Stay Smurfy! [Cool]

In case you are wondering what brought this question on is that I saw a rerun of a Smurf episode the other day, and it showed in one scene the tattoo on one arm, but the other arm was clean. Then another scene the opposite arm and no tattoo on the other. And then same episode, in another scene the tattoo was on both arms. LOL. If I remember correctly, the animators did this a lot through out the 10 years the show has been on the air.

Thought that was pretty funny and wondered if anyone else knew the answer to my question [Wink]

Take Care!

I usually draw Hefty with the heart tattoo on both arms, big enough to be seen in case anybody's looking.

Yeah, me too [Smile] In my story I didn't really mention which arm the tattoo is on either. Hmm, guess it doesn't really matter anyway...lol

What I want to know is if there's explanations about how Hefty got the tatoo.

I don't think there were any explanations of how he got his tattoo(s). But I'm assuming that Hefty might have seen a human with a simular tattoo (or a different one) and thought that was cool. He probably then had Painter Smurf paint one on his arm(s). Would have been interesting to see how the other smurfs, especailly Papa Smurf's reaction when they first seen the tattoo(s) [Wink]

You think that sounds about right? Or would you picture it a little differently?

Take Care, and stay Smurfy!

Well it could make sense I suppose, but if painter painted it, the only problem would be that it could wash off. In that case painter would have to re-paint it every so often, unless it was magically made to stay on or if the paint itself is magical.

Hmm, if you remember the episode "Hefty's Heart" the theory of magical paint might make sense. When Gargamel creates the 'yellow hate' disease and infects a flea in order to spread the poisin to a smurf. As soon as it bit Hefty his tattoo changed from a heart into a yellow 'X'.

Near the end, it showed when Hefty was fighting the disease that the tattoo started changing back and forth from the 'X' to the heart until the heart fingally won.

Well, take care [Smile]
