Pop icon Britney Spears will release a new song entitled “Ooh La La,” for the highly anticipated family comedy “The Smurfs 2”. The smurfy song will play at the end credits of the film.
Britney Spears is excited about her "Ooh La La Song"... "I have always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans EVER. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they'll think it's Smurftastic!”
SMURFY SONG CREDITS The Smurf Song, “Ooh La La,” will play during the end credits of the Smurfs 2 Movie. It was written by Lukasz Gottwald (Dr. Luke), Joshua Coleman (Ammo), Henry Walter (Cirkut), Bonnie McKee, Jacob Kasher Hindlin (J Kash), Lola Blanc and Fransisca Hall and produced by Dr. Luke, Ammo and Cirkut for Prescription Songs.
Bonnie McKee, one of the co-writers for the Britney Spears Smurf Song "Ooh La La", had this to say about the smurfy song...
"I just wrote something for Britney Spears for the Smurfs movie, which was a really funny assignment because it’s for the Smurfs movie so it has to family friendly but it’s Britney Spears so it has to be a Britney Spears radio song. And Britney Spears is just all *** all day. So how many sexual innuendos can I come up with that aren’t too painfully obvious for the parents to get upset about. That was an interesting challenge."

There were only 1,000 copies made! The limited release in the United States was on July 23rd 2013.
MUSIC VIDEO May 2013 - Britney's upcoming music video for "Ooh La La" is scheduled for an early June shoot. Britney is getting ready to shoot the music video for The Smurfs 2 theme song "Ooh La La" by rehearsing her dance moves. It will be directed by Marc Klasfeld of Rockhard productions (home to Ray Kay, director of "Till The World Ends").
Rumors claim Britney will be transformed into a Smurf herself, but this is not true. So far, the concept is Britney herself will venture to the Smurf village, a place impossible to find unless a Smurf leads the way. Britney's boys are also said to be featured in the music video!
On June 6, 2013, Britney shared this picture of herself on the set for the video of her single Ooh La La. The photo shows her smiling into the camera in front of a blue background.
Britney said, "So baby come with me and be my "Ooh LA LA". Shout out to Marc Klasfeld for an amazing job today."
Klasfeld has worked with Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Jay-Z, Avril Lavigne, Rita Ora and fellow smurfer, Katy Perry.
TRIVIA * Britney's sons, Sean and Jayden, made their music video debut in the Smurfs "Ooh La La" video at just 7 and 6 years old.
Spears said her boys "were really, really good on set... and my oldest son [Sean], was right on cue every time they would tell him to do something. Later on, I got to see what they actually did on camera and it was adorable."
* Not only did Britney Spears' sons appear in the "Ooh La La" video but Britney's 5-year-old niece Maddie also had a cameo --- watching The Smurfs 2 in a movie theater. (Check out the photo above). Maddie is the daughter of Britney's sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.
FUN FACTS * Britney Spears has revealed that her kids are "obsessed" with The Smurfs. Britney said, "We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times."
* Katy Perry actually sings on Britney Spears' Smurfs 2 song "Ooh La La"! Katy Perry said, "Me and Bonnie secretly did some background vocals on that song. So maybe listen for our voices." The catchy pop tune was written by Bonnie McKee who is also a frequent collaborator with Katy Perry.
* Britney Spears wore a smurf-colored blue dress to The Smurfs 2 Premiere at the Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles on July 28, 2013.
