Christmas Prototype Smurfs. Here you'll see the rarest Smurf figures that are known to exist! Why so rare? These Smurf figures are prototypes that were never mass produced or released into the public market.
There are three known prototype Christmas Smurfs:
1) Prototype - Christmas Bellringer Smurf
2) Prototype - Christmas Stocking Smurf
3) Prototype - Christmas Angel Smurf
Each Smurf has the markings, "Made in Portugal - (C) 1984 Peyo - Schleich S - W Berrie". It is unknown how many of these prototypes were made, perhaps only a handful... perhaps just one of each. No one really knows. However, it is known that each protoype is valued at over several thousands of dollars - but absolutely priceless to any serious Smurf collector!
