I had visited the Papa Smurf page on the Cartoon Network website, and basically find it being a total waste of bandwidth, sorry to say (no offense intended to the namesake webmaster). Again, we have another webpage that shamelessly reuses an image that have been posted ad nauseam on other sites, and not even a Hanna-Barberra created Smurf image at that except for that silly blurb in the Behind The Scenes window! "At 500 years old, Papa Smurf doesn't look a day over 300." Apparently written by someone paid to advertise Cartoon Network who knows next to nothing about Smurfs. And as far as Significant Others, Azrael's name is misspelled on his and Gargamel's page. Not very professional.

I totally agree. Their Smurf pages need a lot of work, especially the "photographed off of a third-generation VHS copy"-style screen grabs of the Smurf episodes. However, I get the impression they have a lot of work to do at the Cartoon Network site, and perhaps the Smurfs are not their priority (ie, not a top money maker).

Still, I sure would have loved to have seen a unique or new Papa Smurf picture!

Well, I was just trying to be kind to Cartoon Network.

What I really want them to do is put back the custom Smurf promos during the weekday showing of The Smurfs! I can't figure out why they were removed...
