I am a newbie to this board, but not a newbie to the world of The Smurfs. I've been a fan of the show since I was a wee lass - about 4 years of age near 18 years ago.

I do have a question, however; I cannot seem to find The Smurfs on TV. I hear they appear on Boomerang, but I have checked the schedule for that channel and have yet to see anything. Sadly, I do not have Boomerang, but if I hear that The Smurfs will be returning, I will gladly purchase this channel just to see the cartoon I loved so dearly as a child.

Boomerang doesn't show The Smurfs on a regular basis. For the last month, though, they've shown The Smurfs for twenty-four hours every Friday. That ended on Friday, November 2, however.

When will The Smurfs be on Boomerang again? I don't know. I think other board members will have a better idea. I use GistTV to check what is on TV, along with Dish Network's program guide.

Canadians can only see The Smurfs on Cartoon Network through a satellite dish - Papa Smurf and I use Dish Network's system. eBay has some good prices on used and new Dish Network systems. Dish Network's signal reaches all across North America. I don't think Boomerang is available in Europe or elsewhere.

I have Direct TV and I wish I would have known that marathons of The Smurfs were on in October. If so, I would've purchased the channel back then. I always learn too late. *sigh* I do wish The Smurfs would return to Cartoon Network. I'm still wondering why they took The Smurfs off of that channel.

I have a few episodes on tape, but not as many as I'd like. As of right now, I only have around 10 episodes. *sigh* I do not have much cash, so if I were to ever find someone who was willing to sell me some Smurf tapes, I'd have to decline.
