Is a SCCI smurf (sitting down with dove) actually worth anything without the certificate?

SCCI Smurf Figures
As you already know, there were a limited number of SCCI Smurfs produced and each Smurf originally came with a numbered "Certificate of Authentication".
SCCI Smurfs with certificates will always fetch a higher price than those without the certificates simply because the collector can validate that his/her purchase is authentic. (And when people are paying big $$$, they want to know it is for the real thing!)
Unfortunately, there are people that make fake SCCI Smurfs. They will simply take a mini Schleich figure and glue it on the Smurf figurine. So that's why the certificate is so important to many collectors.
That being said, some certificates are lost over time... so there are plenty of "real" SCCI Smurfs out there - they just don't have certificates! And people do still value them. For example, I've seen many SCCI Smurfs sell for between $50 - $200 on ebay! It just depends on what someone is willing to pay...
All in all, your Smurf with Dove figure is still very valuable (and cute!) and many people would love to have it in their collection!
I personally think the SCCI Smurfs are super cute (whether or not you have a certificate). The sitting Smurf with the Dove is really sweet! And I also like the Smurf with the pig!

I always thought the one with the white dove was a turkey. I guess the "turkey of peace" doesn't really make sense though!! Unless its a piece of turkey (doh!)
I think I need a turkey sandwich for lunch! What was I talking about?

I love this new section. I learned a lot about the SCCI Smurfs I didn't know. For instance, I never knew there were two versions of the Smurf holding a gold pig!

Oh that's great news - I don't intend on selling my smurf, but it's nice to know that it is worth something. I certainly hope it's authentic!
