Topic: Where do Smurfs come from?

I understand that Smurfette was created by Gargamel, but how about the rest?
If there is a Grandpa and Nanny Smurf, did they just have Papa Smurf? And was there ever a Mama Smurf? And did they bore all of the rest of the 100 and so Smurfs? Or if Baby Smurf came from a stork, did they all come from a stork? And where did the stork come from?

That has been a question on a lot of fans minds. There are many explinations on where and how the smurfs exist. I myself have taken all knowledge told of the Smurfs origin and put them into my mini saga story.

Those are alot of questions. Now where did smurfette come from is easy, papa and gargamel made her http://bluebuddies.com/help/smurfette_created_by_gargamel.htm
the only stork is the 1 with baby smurf an he or she came on a blue moon.
grandpa went away for a long time but came back later on. sassette was made by nat snappy and slouchy using gargamels magic and they went into a time machine..no storks sorry!!

Presumably Nanny Smurf is the only real female Smurf, since there's no official origin behind her existence other than her first appearance (on the TV series, that being the episode "Lost Smurf" from the 1988-89 season). That's what I'm basically sticking to.
