Global Smurfs Day 2 is a worldwide event in anticipation of the release of The Smurfs 2 Movie, in theaters July 31, 2013.

The number one song, "I'm Too Sexy" by Right Said Fred has been re-released with a few smurfy changes to the lyrics. "I'm Too Smurfy" was released for Global Smurfs Day and features in The Smurfs 2 Movie.

Right Said Fred led a mass live Smurf sing-a-long of 'I'm Too Smurfy' on June 22, 2013 for the Global Smurfs Day in London.

Brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass have said, "We are avid Smurf fans and really knocked out to be involved with this fantastic project. Keep Smurfin'!"

Global Smurfs Day, aka the 'Smurfestival', will take place on June 22 at Westfield London in Shepherd's Bush. The free family day will be hosted by Magic 105.4's Jamie Edwards, with musical performance, games and activities. The day will benefit charity MediCinema, who build cinemas in hospitals.

I'm Too Smurfy Lyrics

I'm too smurfy for my love, too smurfy for my love
We love Smurfs believe me
I'm too smurfy for my shirt, too smurfy for my shirt
So smurfy it hurts
And I'm too smurfy for Milan, too smurfy for Milan
New York and Japan
And I'm too smurfy for your party, too crazy for your party
Everybody disco dancing

Oooh... My name's Papa, you know what I mean
And I do my little turn on the smurfwalk
Yeah on the catwalk I mean the smurfwalk yeah
I do my little turn on the smurfwalk

I'm too smurfy for my car, too smurfy for my car
Too smurfy by far
And I'm too smurfy for my hat, my super smurfy hat
What do you think about that
... And I'm too smurfy for this song!

Global Smurfs Day Ambassadors
Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation studio has lined up an impressive program of events, highlighted by a worldwide Smurf Ambassadors initiative, in which over 40 ambassadors from 28 countries will represent Smurfs fans from around the world with a special day of events.

The ambassadors (celebrities, prominent journalists, and contest winners) will dress as Smurfs as they begin their day in Brussels, where Peyo’s daughter Veronique Culliford will officially appoint them as Smurf representatives of their countries. The fun-filled ceremony will take place under the watchful eye of an important Brussels monument - the Smurf statue (seen above).

Freshly charged with their ambassadorial duties, the group will board a Thalys train and shoot off to Paris, the locale of the adventures in The Smurfs 2 Film. With a few surprises in store and a sightseeing tour of the French capital, the ambassadors will be tasked with a mission that is the stuff of high diplomacy: to leave a happy trail of blue smiles in their wake, and herald the arrival of the new film!
