Hey Smurfs! I'm going to be working on my cartoons that I have been trying to get some ideas for for a long time now... I was wondering if any of you guys would like to be involved in the process of creating it?

 -

As you can see, they're called Spifties.
(Spift, for short) They are all girls who live on a tiny planet in tear-shaped houses... They have purple skin and pink fur (Nan Spift, the leader, has blue fur). And each of them is named the opposite of what their personality is. There's about two hundred Spifties on their little planet...

I'll be sure to post more pictures when I get a chance to. But for now, enjoy my title strip.

here's a few concepts of my little friends, the Spifties! There's Courageous Spift, Sissy Spift, and Useless Spift... None of them are what their names suggest...

Are you work on it now?

Currently, I am trying to think of a good storyline for it without making it seem like I just got a smurf tale and twisted it around to fit my characters... But I will be sure to keep you posted on the development of it.... In the meantime I suggest you read my fanfic... You will see the link in my signature at the bottom of any of my posts...

You've met some of the Spifties... But it wouldn't be right to introduce you to them without Nan Spift knowing...

Here she is, the leader of the Spifties... The only one with blue hair.... NAN!!!!

You'd better believe I like it! It's so cute! Are you positive that you're not a professional cartoonist in disguise? lol [Big Grin]

Ok Smurfs... I have two announcements to make... I have remade the title page for the appearance of the Spifties... Twice, actually, so I would like you all to pick the best of the two...

One:
 -

Or two:
 -

And for my second announcement, I need your help with thinking of a theme song for them. Because soon I hope to be receiving a graphics tablet, meaning that I will start trying my hand at animation... (What better way to get started than with my own cartoon?)

Rules to consider when doing this include:

1. The song can not be played to the tune of a popular song from a previous children show or other things (unless the song is legally in the public domain)
2. Must contain two or more of the Spifties names (one of those MUST be Nan Spift)
3. Don't make it more than one or two minutes long.

I will also be posting this on my twitter account so I have a wider range of options to choose from when making my decision... The winner gets to create a character of their own to be in the pilot episode when I get to make it...

Good luck you Smurfs... And may the best song win!

Can someone please inspire me with a character to use as an antagonist for my little Spifties? I have been thinking about it long and hard. But I still can't come up with any idea of what I want. All I know is that it has to be an inhabitant of the planet of the Spifties. (which I still need a name for that as well...)

Think think think... What to do... What to do? How about we all come up with a design for an antagonist and come back in a few days to share our ideas and sketches... I will pick the best design and use it for my comics...

Here's mine.. [Roll Eyes]
Positive Spifty and Reticence Spifty(I should
write that first spelling in capital letter!)..
I tried to not make their personality
same with Smurfs, So that's why there is only two
of idea.

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-01-2018 06:48 PM:

Those are adorable! Thank you for your idea! [Big Grin]

I should add that when I said "antagonist," however, it means villain. Lol but great job on making some protagonists (good guys)!

Posted by flying smurf (Member # 6670) on 06-02-2018 03:10 AM:

Ah, antagonist! I should know that, sorry.. [Embarrassed]
Btw,did you started to making Spifties comics?
If you doing, how far did you work with it?lol [Big Grin]

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-02-2018 03:20 AM:

Sorry, I didn't start yet. Still thinking of a story to begin the series... And on top of that I've been busy with all these "adulthood responsibilities" (ugh) but I will try to work on it some today if I get a chance to sit down and sketch some ideas down...

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-02-2018 03:23 AM:

I may actually have to just start a Spifties role play and try to make a comic out of that... But I think I'll just wait it out, in case an idea pops up in my head.

Posted by flying smurf (Member # 6670) on 06-03-2018 02:52 PM:

Okey. Then good luck! [Big Grin]

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-08-2018 06:42 PM:

I'm going to try... But it was a free app, and my stupid phone likes to act up on me quite a bit... So it probably will be a while before I have the first few pages of my comic complete...

But I will be sure to check in with you guys to let you know how it is progressing and to periodically post new chapters of my fanfic...

Posted by Flying smurf (Member # 6670) on 06-13-2018 05:29 AM:

I hope your work goes smoothly..
And did you get idea for spifties antagonists?

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-13-2018 04:49 PM:

Actually... I'm sorry to announce that the application I was using to draw the comics deleted all my progress and caused my phone to malfunction. But now I have downloaded a better app for the job and I will be sure to keep working on the Spifties comic book...

I'm sorry for the dissapointment

Posted by Flying smurf (Member # 6670) on 06-15-2018 04:51 AM:

Oopps sorry..

Btw, what app did you get now?
I think medibang paint would be good,
It have lot of professionalcartoon drawing tools.
(But you must save picture when you exit,
or it could be all canceled..)

And I hope you can continue your cartoon well..

Posted by Ariel author of The Lost Smurfette (Member # 5345) on 06-15-2018 01:31 PM:

I'm now using Autodesk sketchbook

Posted by Flying smurf (Member # 6670) on 06-15-2018 06:54 PM:

I'm used Autodesk sketckbook often time too..
It's easy to use, and also good to drawing cartoons..
So I think you did good choise [Roll Eyes] [Vanity Smurf]

I think so too... I get to add more layers to my drawing, so I can keep my characters and colors separate so I can work on one thing at a time without messing up the rest of the picture. I really like it!
