The Season 9 intro sequence with Asia's "An Extraordinary Life" as its music.

Thanks, Vic George, it's the first time I watched the Season 9 Intro, because it's never been broadcast in Brazil. If I'm not wrong, the
Smurf cartoons were exhibited here until 1987 or
88.

[Cool]

Now I'm thinking of writing a parody of The Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star", titled "Season 9 Killed The Smurfs Cartoon Show".

LOL! I highly encourage the idea!

"I saw them on the TV back in '81,
A hundred blue guys living life and having fun,
I had the feeling the party's just begun.
Oh-ah-oh-ah..."

"And then they added new ones to the family,
Baby, the Smurflings, Wild, Grandpa, and ol' Nanny,
And even then they're still as funny as can be.
Oh-ah-oh-ah, before we knew it,
Oh-ah-oh-ah, they've gone and blew it.

Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
That season came and broke my heart.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!"

"And now we see that they're all traveling through time,
Meeting a string of Gargamels all down the line,
We'd had a feeling that something 'bout them's dying.
Oh-ah-oh-ah, we should have all known,
Oh-ah-oh-ah, they'd never make it home.

Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
In my mind, and in my heart,
I think Hanna-Barbera's gone too far.
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!
Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh!"

Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
In my mind, and in my heart,
I think Hanna-Barbera's gone too far.
The season came and broke my heart,
But are they to blame, or is it Peyo?

They were...the 80's cartoon stars.
They were...the 80's cartoon stars.

Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
Season 9 killed the Smurfs cartoon show.
(Repeat until fade)"

i say Peyo killed the Smurfs cartoon show. Hanna-Barbera kept it alive after the last episode aired

I don't know... As I've already said above, I never watched the last season but after reading
the cartoon episode guide I concluded that HB (perhaps trying to give a new dimension to Smurf cartoons) made such a miscellany and I think Peyo (sorry, kitten) had nothing to do with this, because, for that I know, he had not created any Smurf adventure both through the time and all over the world. [Confused]
