Hi, I want to inform you that I've listened to the Capitalism (Demo Version) & no it does not mean short version, it means different sounding from the same artist. I heard from the user that posted the video said that this version was never released while the full Only A Lad album cover was released in June 1981.
The demo version I think might have been released before the album release so when do you think this version of Capitalism was recorded? It may be from either between 1978-1981 or something.

There were two outtakes from the album Only A Lad ('81): (A) California Girls - (recorded somewhere around '79) (B) I Was A Teenage Monster - (recorded somewhere around '80) These two songs were from the rarity collection Forbidden Boingo (2008). The compilation has three disc sorted in years. These two outtakes were on Disc 1 (1976-1980).
To make life easier, I'm sharing you the demo version here for you to view on the website.
This song may not be suitable for younger audiences unless accompanied by an adult. Rated PG
