Does ayone have any idea (even a rough estimate) of how many episodes of the smurfs were made?

Odd...it has 256 but, counting the ones in this website's Cartoon Episode Guide, I get 414, and I've read elsewhere (can't recall now), there are over 500 episodes!

Keep in mind also that they were smurfed together in hour blocks originally. After they were syndicated on TV in half hour blocks (30 minutes) each show consisted of one long episode or two short ones.

Why would that matter? Each episode has a title, so it wouldn't matter if they were clumped together...
