do you hate gargamel? he needs to find a better hobby than chaseing the smurfs all day. his hobby can be golfing or soccer. ill be so cool. and very funny. and his soccer team will be mostly called team gargamel. booooo! i hope the smurfs win. their teams called team smurf. yay! or mabe football.... ![[Football Smurf]](graemlins/football.gif) ![[Gargamel]](graemlins/gargamel.gif) ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Gargamel can be really funny when he goes overboard in trying to get the Smurfs.
I'm guessing Gargamel's team would have him, his mom, Scruple, Balthazar, and maybe Azrael.

The smurfs team would have Hefty,Handy,Wild, Vanity and maybe Brainy.

Brainy is not the best addition if you want the team members to stay sane =P
Personally I love Gargamel, he's a great character. on the one hand he despises the smurfs and goes overboard trying to get them which is usually hilarious, and on the other hand, sometimes when he finally catches one he just doesn't have the heart to hurt him.
Like when he caught Weepy, or when he had to play with Baby all day, even if that feeling didn't last long.
Other then that, his design and voice actor are very good, and he has a lot of likeable traits in my opinion. I would have loved to see an episode where Gargy and the smurfs agree on a mutual 'cease-fire' ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

Hello everyone. Gargamel is to me what makes the show balanced. As kind and lovable as the Smurfs are, he is equally as cruel and selfish. He is vital as a counterweight to the Smurfs' cuteness.
I have always found it humorous that there are some who say the Smurfs are too saccharine. They do not realize there is a character on the show who hates the Smurfs with as much vigor as those malcontent viewers, Gargamel. Gargamel has contemplated plotting against the Smurfs in ways much worse than most people who dislike the show. Gargamel is the perfect foil as he is so creative in the ways he describes eating, capturing, and turning the Smurfs into gold. There is no other like him.

That's right, Binky (nice to hear from you again!); I also didn't understand why some people say the Smurfs are saccharine... I don't think so, I love them but in my opinion they can be even mischievous and irresponsible sometimes! ![[Razz]](tongue.gif) As for Gargy, we know he's a despicable guy but since he never manages to keep them (no matter what he does) for being a dope and having a bungling cat as Azrael by his side, that's exactly what makes him funny! ![[Azrael]](graemlins/azrael.gif)

Gargamel can get real nasty! I mean he was so mean to Puppy. But he never goes through with it!! So I guess he isn't the worst of the villains but oh boy the things he says he is going to do!!His voice is good I love it when he speaks.
Squeaky I agree Brainy sometimes seems just as mischievous as Gargamel. They need to keep an eye on Brainy too!

Well, Smurfy1For2... Brainy has many faults but I think he'll never be mean like Gargamel... But I confess, I'm quite suspect to talk about because he's one of my favorite Smurfs, hehehe...

Well,actually gargamel he just not a good guy
bad guy for the smurfs but i not actually hate him.
Just don't like him.
And about making a soccer team will be a good
idea.
If gargamel's hobby is golfing
i can tell that he wouldn't stand a chance to
beat me!
And without a doubt that i absosmurfly agree with
Squeaky Smurf!
Brainy is my favorite smurf.
Brainy maybe someone that hardly get along with
but if listen to him good enough
you can say that he's a very good friend even
brainy's type are not for everyone!
Smurfs will never be mean like gargamel!

It wouldn't last long I assure you.
However it may happen in a story I'm concoting in the future. All will explained later.

The Smurfs aren't always so nice and kind to each other. They sometimes argue with each other and break out into huge fights, especially in the episodes "King Smurf" and "Romeo and Smurfette". Whomever says that they're always so sweet needs to watch some of these episodes.
I have always liked the episodes where Gargamel desperately needs the Smurfs' help for a problem that he's facing, and then goes after them again after they help him.

The episodes you mentioned is a quite good example, Cool Smurf. In fact they possess very human characteristics. That's why I think they sometimes (save Papa Smurf) behave like children, as I said above, so I don't agree with people who say they are "too saccharine"... ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif)
