Well, if Sony and Columbia are producing and distributing (respectively) the film over Nickelodian and Paramount then there was probably a legality issue that prevented the film from being finished/released in 2008. Ah well; at least the film is being released!
Now if I can just get Sony/Columbia to agree to host a Second Life sim where I can build Smurf Village! ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Nothing's ever fair. I agree. I wanted a smurfy Christmas last year and almost did. At least the movie is a go - for the moment.

I'll be 32 when the movie comes out. Big deal, it will be here before we know it. The last two years just flew by for me, and so will the next. We waited this long for new Smurf material, what is another two years? Not much for me at least. Just hang in there my little Smurfs. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Your Smurf Village is very impressive. I can imagine myself wandering through the village, stopping to play with Puppy, chatting with Handy, and even dangling my feet into the ocean water for a bit of relaxation. What a peaceful place.

Well, if any (or all) of you want to come to Second Life (accounts are free) just sign up here (put my name, Eep Xue, as the referral) and then IM me in SL and I'll rez Smurf village around you (as much as I have rebuilt so far anyway, which is mostly everything except for a lot of the vegetation and the other smurf characters except for most of Handy and Smurfette). i am but i am not looking forward to the movie. I am because it will be great, but as a collector it is going to be a nightmare! prices will go through the roof! (making it hard to buy) And there will be soo many crappy merchandise items coming out!!!

I think this CG/3D smurfs should look for the
previously first and then back to the movie's
main story.i know they really trying to reintroduce the smurfs again.but they need to
impress the old fans too! and i'll say for upcoming movie:Same smurfy smurfs but new biggest
adventures!

Yeah! He should voice Brainy and lots of movies have been delayed or are in 2010, 2011, 2012,too! Mostly CGI movies......
