I found an information on some smurfy website, but i can`t remember on which one, propably because it was some time ago, but it does not matter, what`s matter is that the informatoin stated that the Smurfs were originally created by Gargamel which suprised me i must say. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

Being a father does NOT necessarily have to be that he physically sired the children.

Great question! I voted No, because I think Grandpa is just the title he received for being the eldest Smurf in the village. ![[Razz]](tongue.gif)

The smurfs couldn't have been created by Gargamel. All the smurfs are at least 100 to 150 years old and Grandpa is in the 600s to 700s since he's much older than Papa Smurf who is at least 500 and something. Gargamel being a human is WAY younger than all of the smurfs (except for Baby, Smurfette, and Sassette). Since the smurfs were around first it's obvious that Gargamel did NOT create them. Also, there is an episode where Gargamel travels back in time to when he first met the smurfs.

Thank you Shane for your reply, since i found this information i could not figured out how was it possible that Gargamel could have created them? He is way much younger then The Smurfs, and he should be dead after such a long time (100-150,600-700 years) since their creation. You have helped me solved this problem, thanks a lot.

Glad I could be of help. I don't have a link, but I do have the episode on tape. I can't remember the name of it, but it's the one where Gargamel sneaks into Father Time's house while he's away and steals his magic sands of time so that he can get the smurfs at the time when he first met them. I'll have to find it.
