How do smurfs reproduce? The don't look like they have "organs", but there's baby smurfs.. and there is no stork in the show.. And.. Now I really want to know how they do it.

Hi michelleandjosh,
1. I edited your posting because it contained language that is not suited for children. Both kids and adults (which, by the way, I'm going to guess you're more the former than the latter) visit BlueBuddies.com and the only real rule is "keep it clean".
2. The idea of the Smurfs being Communists is a bit tongue-in-cheek. Although they do definitely control the means of production...

Although Smurfs do not appear to have certian abilities, they have three female to help reproduction, let not forget, they do wear pants

Smurfs can't reproduce for one reason:
They're ink and paper.

I needed to respond to this one. Even thought it has been years that I've seen the show, I still remember most of the episodes.
According to the episode, that intorduced Baby Smurf, during a 'Blue Moon' a magical thing happens in the Smurf Village. That night a stork (named Feathers) brought Baby Smurf to the village.
On another 'Blue Moon' night, Baby Smurf was brought to a sacret rock so the blue rays of the moon could pridict Baby's destiny. (All smurfs apparently go through this, according to that one episode). But no one never really knew what Baby Smurf's destiny was. However, it was hinted at the end of that episode the little guy would become the next Papa Smurf.
I hope that helped a bit.

Hi, I am a not registered user (and I hope I will be able to post this). I come from Italy where I live.
Smurfs as comunists is an old stuff and for what I have read many things can be told to un-confirm that. Many things are wrong like the existance of a female in the group that should satisfy all the other smurfs desires.
Remember this: originally ALL the smurf were only MALE (and potentially/probably) asexual.
Smurfette was created by Gargamel to create mess in the mushrooms village, Sasette was created by the little 3 smurfs that turned yonger after a visit inside the clock of time of a magician who appears even in the cartoon episode and who is even a close friend to Papa Smurf. Grandma Smurf (or how she is called in english...) just appeared in an episode without explanation about her birth.
Anyhow it's a destiny that female smurfs are artificially "created" and NOT SEXUALLY.
About male smurfs, they are taken in the village by a stork (like an old fable to human cildren).
But where do they come from? there is a theory about this: they are born from real mushrooms.
Then I read a smurf book: smurfs have an "age" but they won't grow up older... they come out from the mushroom directly with the age they have. Yes some TV cartoon shows younger papasmurf and grandfather smurf (the yellow hat one), but they are just errors of the entire story...
Hope this explain everything. They are like earth angel... born from mushrooms And don't have politics idea, no more than a plant could have one...

but if there were females created, that would in turn create another way for the smurfs to reproduce. or am i just making something simple complex?
