This September 1983 issue of the Electric Company Magazine "For Graduates of Sesame Street" features "Cartoons Around the World." There are colorful pictures and descriptions of cartoon characters from 12 countries: Smurf (Belgium), Doraemon (Japan), The Mouse and the Elephant (West Germany), Monica (Brazil), Beau Beaver (Canada), Professor Balthazar (Yugoslavia), Asterix (France), Monkey King (China), Patas Verdes (Mexico), Mole (Czechoslovakia), Dot (Australia), and Cheburashka (Soviet Union). Also included in this issue a Spidey Super Stories comic with Jack Frost. The games and features included are an article on mountain ranges around the world with pictures, Hidden Words, A Word To Grow On with a picture guide for the alphabet in sign language, I Remember, My Sister the Horse, Back to School, Mountain Climbing, Contest of the Month, Stairways to the Stars, Kid Power ("The Yellow Smudge", "Mailed Mice", "The Craziest Thing That Ever Happened", "My First Adventure"), Look Out the Window, What's Missing, Tickle Yourself, It Figures, and Make Your Own Cartoon.
