There were 10 Smurfs as part of the Germany / Netherlands McDonald's promotion in 1996: 1) 25th Anniversary Smurf, 2) Guitar Smurf, 3) Present Smurf, 4) Jester Smurf, 5) Cake Smurf, 6) Baker Smurf, 7) Cheerleader Smurfette, 8) Waiter Smurf, 9) Majorette Smurfette, and 10) Big Mac Smurf. These McDonald's Smurfs all have an "M" marked on the back of their heads (which distinguishes them from "regular" Smurfs).

This rare McDonald's Happy Meal Smurf was only available in the UK/Iceland/Ireland as part of a special promotion for McDonald's in 1998. The Happy Meal Smurf is stamped (c) Peyo 1997.
